There is respect for Chrysler at GTP, but should there be respect for 2 thread with different names and the same thing? C'mon man...

The rear of that Charger looks ugly though :p

To the uneducated (me) it looks pretty much like the current one, just a bit more shiny.

Also, I think I speak on behalf of more than just myself when I say I'd prefer to see a link to an actual news resource rather than speculation from another forum.

A hotlink of a hotlink. Great.

Y'all gtry posting topics with pics on a cell phone.

What speculation are you seeing? Everything in the article is facts and details about the car.

Actually there isn't much respect for the company on here, proof is in the last some topics I posted on here including the "red seats" topic and the fact that not one person on here created a topic when chrysler released teaser pictures of the Town & Country and 200 and official pictures of the 2011 Durango. For your information its 2 threads created for 2 different topics. If people were to actuall talk about Chrysler on here, you'll know that there have been rumors and spyshots about the choices of colors the interiors will come in. That's why I made two topics.

Not to sound like the most anal person ever, but you also just triple posted- not a good thing. Look for the edit button next time. And it's not that GTP doesn't respect Chrysler, lately with the Paris Auto Show and all these teasers, there's just more exciting cars. Still, 2 topics was kind of stupid, you should have made 1 thread, aptly named "2011 Charger, new pictures! And a red interior?" or something like that. Maybe because Town & Country's are, well, minivans. You don't see many minivan threads. But just keep this in mind. I'm not yelling- I just want to help. Thank you and enjoy your time at GTP. 👍

How could I multi quote people of the botton doesn't work? Not my problem and who cars about paris auto show. Chrysler did their some releases months before any autoshow. Not to mention the story ever other website did about them showing off their new and updated cars to dealers! Do y'all even know Jeep is getting a pickup?. That all happend a month ago before the autoshow. Yea the T&C is a van but it will eat any CUV alive with the 285hp pentastar V6 it will come with standard.

Looks like hell, especially the rear end with those god awful tail lamps. Probably just a sea of craptastic plastic inside too. Although I thought the previous Charger was crap too. And I'll have to see a million of these things too since I live next to the Chrysler HQ building. At least I get Alfa's to look at occasionally .

I remember when Chrysler used to build cars that were good, or at least a few good cars.

Multi-quote works just fine. Hit the normal "Quote" button on the last one you want to respond to.

This isn't a ChryCo-focused board. Not every tiny detail about the company gets posted here. Most of us do read the various big automotive news outlets, though.

Careful, your bias is showing.

GM inside news isn't either but they still show articles about them. And I said multi quote not quote. FYI I'm posting from a cell phone. Anyway back to the topic..

Yeah, I used to and never had a problem. Those were the younger days though...the ones were you didn't know how to quote. And GTP cares of all cars, don't feel like we're hating on Chrysler/FIAT.

I think it looks good. The rear isn't great, but it could just be the photo. I will reserve full judgement until I see one in the metal.

Dunno. I like the back end. I think it looks really nice, and if they can make the interior look and feel right like they have on the new Jeep products, they'll likely have one of the best big cars you can buy in America. Comparing an R/T to a SHO, I'd have the Ford.

GOD, this makes me wish they'd sell the Caprice PPV as a civilian car.

This thread is doing pretty well...

I'd like to see one of these in person. Assuming Chrysler has learned their lesson, this might be a pretty good car. But that might be giving them more credit than they deserve... But overall, the styling doesn't really excite me all that much. It looks like they tried but just couldn't pull it off. And the rear reminds me of the Malibu as something that just got chopped off and Chrysler didn't know what to do with it.

I like it, not the bling wheels though. I can't figure out though, is it still using a decade old Merc chassis that will still fall miles short of more accomplished RWD V8 sedans? If it performs as well as the Hemi moniker dictates it should, it'd be a real cracker of a sedan.

Pfft...I send my posts via carrier pigeon, what's your excuse?

Don't use high-technology as an excuse for low-quality posts.

What speculation are you seeing? Everything in the article is facts and details about the car.

It's not an article you linked to, it's a community forum. Whether it's all facts or not, a community forum isn't generally the best place from which to source information. I'd also expect sourcing solely from a forum you frequent is looked dimly upon, since we had a member here who used to do exactly the same with SEAT cars. Admittedly, the stuff you've posted seems to be a bit more genuine than the rubbish he was coming out with, but even so - we'd prefer info from either press releases, or big sites like The Car Connection, Motor Authority, Autoblog etc.

Yes its a community forum but they get all the latest headlines and rumors from chrysler first, they actually have a connection with the company. I gave y'all the forum topic because there is always one person who would post more information about the car that the real article doesn't have. Anyway, http://www.leftlanenews.com/dodge-charger.html happy?

I like it, but would like it more without the chrome and a change of wheels.

I really like the rear end. Now ditch the chrome grille and trim and it will be even better.

I'll take mine in Police trim, thanks.

Mmmm

It's not really a revival of the Charger, it just barrowing the name. Besides, have you ever heard a Charger SRT/8 that's been properly tuned? Sounds like heaven!!

Its a bit more aggressive in the front, and I do like how they eliminated the exaggerated haunches over the rear fender for a more slab-sided look. I'm still kind of iffy about the back end, though.

Yes. A car with the handling characteristics, build quality and design of a car from the 1960s! Oh wait, those aren't good things.

This isn't
People are still complaining about that? Dodge put the Charger name plate on the Dodge Omni platform, for crying out loud. Move on. Its been five years now.

Mmm, if they could just use the Polara nameplate for the police versions....That'd be bringing back some memories...

My apologies, I forgot to say that my comment was only concerning the looks of the car. I still don't like how this bears the nameplate of the Charger, it could be 5 years or 50 years and I'll still complain about it if Dodge is slapping the name of a sacred muscle car onto something like this

It's still better than the previous Charger:

The Charger wasn't even a sedan back in the 60's-70's, was it? Because if it was not, then Dodge really can't do much right these days. And plus that thing probably weighs a lot, anyways.
