A logical yet tiresome choice from HRT, Liuzzi has far too many chances.
There are plenty of "free" experienced drivers on the market, De La Rosa, Klien, maybe even Wurz or Davidson if they had been willing to sign someone a little earlier in the year.
Admittedly, their options weren't much better than Liuzzi, but its a bit boring to see him given yet another chance. I would have gone for De La Rosa or simply gone for yet more pay driver money.
I doubt HRT signed Liuzzi to show irrelevant internet boards they are "serious". Probably more to do with him having F1 experience, and recent experience at that as well as being not-terrible. At least Liuzzi will pull out a good race or two as he seems to manage that at least, but nowhere near the awesomeness of Fisichella and with a shocking lack of consistencey.
