2011 German Grand Prix

Outstanding lap by webber, super outstanding lap by Hamilton. Hopefully they both stay clear of trouble during the race and make the title not a foregone conclusion.

Great final session, both Webber and Hamilton really impressed there. McLaren tends to have a stronger race pace so I'm hoping Hamilton can keep up the fight against the Red Bull's tomorrow! The pace of the Ferrari drivers was a little disappointing in the end there which is a bit of a shame but perhaps they will be stronger tomorrow and help put on an exciting battle at the front of the grid.

Really annoys me how slow Massa is compared to Alonso. Every damn race.

You remind me of the Robert Loggia scene on Family guy, or the Bob Dole one on the simpsons talking in 3rd person

I wish they'd have just let Petrov keep 11th; start on the medium, pit lap 6/7/8 for soft, later again for softs, simple. (all tyres last longer now).

Instead Heidfeld has that chance and will probably have a better race than Petrov, who will start on the softs and bum around a bit and have another 'too little, too late' race courtesy of a dumb pit strategy. oh well, it's up to Petrov to save his race now.

Don't expect it to last long.

Well, Vettel is going to have to overtake, and we know how that'll go! ;)

*stirring

Good qualy session, great stuff from Webber and Hamilton. Nice to see Force India doing pretty well too.

I guess Hamilton yesterday was hiding himself. Let's see what happen tomorrow, that OFBD will certain going to be a factor. I hope Ferrari will come back in the middle of the race, but I'm not sure about their race pace now. Anyway Webber vs. Hamilton is a demolition derby classic. :sly:

It's going to be an interesting first corner tomorrow. Alonso has got a fast start so it'll be nice to see and hopefully limited damage.

Awesome, I can't believe Hamilton got in 2nd after Webber shaved another 2/10th of his previous lap. I hope we see Hamilton, Webber or Alonso finish ahead of Vettel.

I foresee Hamilton crashing into Webber on turn 1.

Results:
Mark webber is out of race.
Lewis Hamilton has a damaged front wing and carrys on.

Definitely much improved pace from Hamilton. Further proves that he is the better of the McLaren boys.

Massa evidently isn't going to go any faster, so what do you want Alonso to do? Go slower? On purpose?

Is it even worth me trying to reason with what you just posted?

I don't see how me stating my annoyance, that a driver I support isn't doing as well as I'd like, is reason enough for you to come out with something like that. I haven't challenged you or anyone else in any way. Are you looking for an argument this afternoon?

Massa's getting beaten by Alonso. I don't like it, it's simple enough. Cheers for the snotty remark though.

I am certain Webber will not be leading come turn one. His race starts are terrible. Lewis will crash into someone, somewhere. Kobayashi will be up to 10th by the end of the first lap. :D

Speed pads would be funny in F1

They pretty much already have,

Instead of having activation zones just have pads for DRS and KERS dotted all over the place and have the drivers fight for them :sly:

Kobayashi will most likely scythe straight through the field. He's like a greyhound chasing the rabbit on rails. Except that rabbit will most likely be Schumacher once again. Those two really do love each other on track, don't they? :sly:

Now Vettel has the chance to prove himself as a real racer.

Unfortunately I foresee a scenario where Webber and Vettel takes first and second in the start and Vettel is team ordered past Webber.

I think Alonso and Vettel will take Webber and Hamilton into the first corner.

Ambitious but Vettel 1st, Alonso 2nd, Hamilton 3rd, Webber 4th

I'm expecting Alonso to have a stellar race tomorrow. Hamilton's guaranteed some drama, whether it's team or driver.

Shame about Heidfeld not getting in the top 10 - when was the last time, 4+ nationality drivers qualified in the top 10 of there national race?

I have to say, Chandhok did pretty well all things considered today. He isn't close to Kovalainen, but he isn't a million miles away and has qualified no worse than Trulli's worst efforts this year. Lets see what he does in the race.

We've got a great front couple of rows for the start of the race here - a poor starting Webber, great starting Hamilton and Alonso and Vettel in the middle. Plenty of potential for any of those 4 to take the lead at turn 1. Can't wait for that.

Ok I missed most of the build up and quali - why is Chandhok in at Lotus?

Word is he had it written into his contract that he gets two races this year, one being India presumably. The reason? Money obviously. Why Trulli? Well he has nothing to lose as he is waiting for a power steering update at Hungary. Trulli has also apparently signed a 2012 contract as a result. No doubt people will still try to claim Trulli has lost motivation.

Rain tomorrow, but only at times I'd say. Hamilton, Alonso, Webber, Vettel, Button.

All that, including weather, is just a prediction.
