I was being sarcastic.
I know you were, hence why I linked yet another popular vid :

Very happy to see Murphy get pole, he got his lap in at the right time.![]()
Not really - it's not like Murphy had to try and predict when he would get a clear run. The running order for the Top 10 is decided in advance.Very happy to see Murphy get pole, he got his lap in at the right time.![]()

Mad style points for doing a complete 360 and carrying on as though nothing happened, but I guarantee that'll happen again in the race and he won't be quite so lucky. Winning a competition or not, putting a schoolboy in a V8SC with no experience and at Bathurst of all places is madness.Wow, Cameron Waters got very lucky earlier today.

Yeah, I'm not a fan. I don't doubt that the kid has talent, he does have a considerable lead in the Australian Formula Ford championship after all, but I don't think it's wise to chuck him into the biggest main game V8 Supercar race with no prior experience. It's a grid spot which could've been filled up by one of the more competitive Fujitsu series teams/drivers. And don't even get me started on Grant Denyer...Mad style points for doing a complete 360 and carrying on as though nothing happened, but I guarantee that'll happen again in the race and he won't be quite so lucky. Fixed. That's what he was before he was a racing driver and commentator. As a race driver, Denyer is an excellent weatherman.

I kind of wish we could get the SPEED broadcast. Waltrip and Joy can't be worse than Matthew White.

No, I'm saying he can't be worse than some of the guys we get. Not that he is bad, only that it is impossible for him to be utterly horrendous.MĂśLE_9242;5995079People actually say Mike Joy is bad? Are those people high?

I see Channel 7 has another wildly over-produced broadcast.
MORE BOGAN! Now they've got Lee Kernaghan performing something that is not the national anthem on the grid.HOORAY FOR BRUCKHEIMER STYLE BOGAN MELODRAMA!

Do you get the sense that they're stalling for time?
HRT tried to appeal the Shootout result; they didn't like the way they got shafted by the weather.
Well, I just saw the ad for "Sunday Night" (read: tabloid journalism), and I have come to the conclusion that Channel 7 - which I rarely watch - puts the same bloated Jerry Bruckheimer production values into absolutely everything they do. The husky baritone, the dramatic language, the sweeping helicopter shots and sharp jump-cuts can apparently be found in everything they do.
It is a fair complaint (though you know that Tander would talk up the importance of pole if he was on it, and marginalise its importance if he is not). The shootout is built around the television broadcast so that viewers can see all ten laps. The usual time for an ad break is two minutes and thirty seconds, and with three ad breaks in the shootout, that's an extra seven and a half minutes of dry running that was passed over. Perhaps in the future, the provisional pole-sitter could be given the choice of whether they go first in the shootout or last.Good one, it's almost as though V8 management have no control over what the weather does!
