Quick question hope I get a quick reply I'm setting up some accounts and was going to setup 2011 to get a ticket does anyone know if it gives a 2011 car or does it knock back to 10?
 
I set up up an account with 2911 a couple of months ago and got a 2010 ticket.

BTW If you want birthday tickets from 2003 and later, you'll need to set the sub accounts up for the Hong Kong region. You'll also need at least 2 Hong Kong master accounts because the PSN limits the number of sub accounts that can be linked to one master account.
 
An X1. It isn't even called that. It's an X2010 so the name is a clue to it's year of manufacture. :dopey:

If you were born in 2011 you wouldn't have had a birthday yet to get the ticket gift from, try again in 12 months ;)

Get your facts right. Until January the X2010 was called RedBull X1, then PD changed the name. However it can't be obtained through a birthday ticket, at least I haven't managed it within 4 hours of trying.

I didn't intent to speak down on you, however you can be sure there are people who have not connected their ps3 to the internet, they still have it called X1. So it's not far sighted if you say there is no x1 in GT5 because there are GT5 games which still say it's a X1, not an X2010. But no matter what you call it, it can't be obtained through a b-day ticket. At least from what I know out of personal experience and from this forum.

The fact that the person who said 'X1' has a PSN ID states to me that they are connected online with GT5 and should know by now that it's called an X2010 !
 
I've yet to see anyone who said x1 and others did not know what they were talking about. This is what PD called it, cut the people who have other things on their mind besides conforming to PD's not so new nomenclature some slack.

That BMW in the photo above is slick...wouldn't mind owning that car in real life.

These should all sue BMW for using their name. The Wrightspeed should be in GT with a normal Atom as well!

I see nothing in GT5 or anything with any affilialation to RedBull. ;)
 
Some people have nothing better to do than troll threads and correct people. X1,X2010,Redbull...etc. we all know what you mean, those other X1 items aren't even in the game so why would they add to the confusion. Why give people such a hard time.:grumpy:
 
Skip the confusion and call it by the name it has in the game, RedBull X2010. That's easy enough, isn't it?

Absolutely. Unless, of course, there was a big huha about the X1, and it was all about X1, X1, X1. I think if that kind of thing sticks in people's minds, it's just fair enough to cut them some slack. My opinion.

After all, if it's the X2010, and the X1 is a BMW (or something else even), what exactly are they talking about here:

Edit: And yes, I know that's an old article. That's not the point. The point is that I need to equate Red Bull X2010 with Red Bull X1 in order for this article to make any sense. So it's not like we can just forget about the fact that the car was actually called X1 until not too long ago. It'll pretty much remain required to never forget, exactly because of the historic references.

You'd have to make an account for a birthday which hasn't happened yet. Is it really worth it to try that for a game which has no obtainable 2011 cars? Seriously, what is the ultimate goal?
 
This is a bit of a stupid thing to argue about in fairness and it's arguments like this that get's people who sit and write on forums a bad name! Why not just let him call i whatever he likes? Have you never seen a local bar/shop/stadium to have it's name changed only for locals to still call it the old one?
 
There's no 2011 cars in the game, so instead it gets turned into a 2010 ticket. So now you can stop trying to use exploits telling PSN that you're four months old and that you somehow, as a newborn, purchased GT5 in a store.
