Jean Eric Vergne will start from the pit today after they decided to break the parc ferme regulations in order to improve Jean's car for the race today.

Seems like we won't be seeing any rain for today but it remained cool - around 22 degree centigrade which is beneficial to both Mercedes and Sauber. Meanwhile, it is already about to sound bad for Red Bull because their car may not work all that well in cool condition.
 
Should throw up some interesting races then if the weather is quite cool

Hamilton I'll agree will have a tough time with Button, but not Webber. Are you sure you've been watching? Not to be rude but I don't know of anyone that would say "Better watch out for Webber on those starts, you know how quick he can be". Just saying.

Who nows, today might be the day when he gets off the line like an F1 racing driver...


Edit: Of course I know a Button, Hamilton or even Webber victory is much more likely than Kimi winning.
 
Ah good times, no hangover and a great race (hopefully) about to start. Hoping for Kimi podium, after him Koba would be nice to see 2nd.

Just saw a live preview of the circuit. It looks very cloudy and very cool... Indeed, an interesting race in the bank! Track temperature has dropped to just 20 degree centigrade.
 
One thing about Sauber quickly.

They have had a habit of falling down the order slowly as the season comes to a close. They did it in 07 and 08, and they sort of did it last year. What would that mean for this year later on? I mean, they're at an altitude that the current guise hasn't experienced thus far, but how do they hold that on.

Of course, in 09, they went the other way up the table but that's because KERS was a bad call back then.

They've got to be able to fund updates, and then keep them coming thick and fast, and in the right direction. They have what seems to be a very friendly chassis and a good drivetrain, and they've got two very handy drivers, so as long as they can keep "running to stay still", so to speak, they should do well.

Blistering lap from Nico yesterday! Kobay for podium, hopefully.Nevertheless, i expect Lewis to be in front before the first stop and i could see either the top 5 driver will have a slow start. :p
 
Who is better to watch the BBC or sky? Currently I am watching sky as sky go gives me easy access to post here and I love Brundle's commentry but as a whole package what do people say is the best?

I stick with Sky for everything nowadays but even if I did watch BBC build-up I would watch the race on Sky. Martin Brundle being the deciding factor.

I am betting the Saubers do well again. The mercs have a chance but I don't think they will win I think they will have a late race challenge from McLaren.

I'm watching the BBC's coverage as I don't have the Sky package at my mothers. It's not bad at all...
 
I fear trouble happens around the tight middle pack on first lap. So much ambition packed there right now.

Sky, because Martin Brundle knows what he is on about.
 
Judging by his qualifying pace, if Nico gets away cleanly I think he'll streak away from the pack.
 
Anyone hate this split coverage of F1 in the UK, Coulthard and Jordan one place & Brundle somewhere else......

I dont think Shumy is going to let Nico get to turn 1 before him.
