I don't really like that the front looks a little finicky. But otherwise, the rear looks stunning, and the side looks like an M Coupe that's been compressed and lengthened with some Alfa styling cues.

I'm loving this so far.

It was named from the Carrera Panamericana, which is coincidentally, where the Carrera comes from & what was once regarded to as a very dangerous race.

So, where's the funny?

It was named after a race in Mexico that Porsche sponsored. The race was not very popular and was shut down after 2-3 years because there was so many fatalities. It's not real as fun as ironic. Not really something to name a car for now is it?

There are similarities I grant you (mainly that it has five-spoke wheels, a little vent in the front wing and a little kick in the tail) and it does look more similar than the Aston, say, but they still aren't very similar looking cars. Essentially all 'brakes have similar proportions though - stubby back end, long bonnet.

I officially declare the shooting brake to be the most loathesome shape of car. Even more than the Crossover. And the SUV.

Oh, I don't know. I find that the shape is quite practical for some things...

Now... if you could make the FF a meter longer, can you imagine how many people would pay to go to their final resting place in the back of a Ferrari?

Of course, we'll need a $100,000 non-transferable deposit at least one year before the funeral, rental time is limited to 3 hours, no overtime, and we'll need documented proof that you own an F40, an F50, an Enzo and your own futbol club...

I actually think it's a pretty good looking car, get rid of the notion it's a Ferrari supercar and its actually not bad at all. It's much better looking than the panamera.

Granted, my only gripe is at the headlamps which aren't matching the car as a whole, something more 599-like would have made it better looking than a Rapide. Which I presume, is the main competitor for this car.

Funny thing is, I think the Ferrari FF will look better once aftermarket bodykits are released. Just think of it, I'm sure the Panemera wouldn't look as good without a proper body kit...

It looks like sporty version of Catbus. I actually like it because it has character and finally an official shooting brake for Ferrari. Awesome!

I thought that the angle was a lot of the problem with the front end. It looks pretty cool from the 3/4 view.

How long before they release a more hardcore version?

FFS anyone?
If this car truly is the successor to the 612 & the market that it's aimed at, I don't think they will. The 612's target demographic was not about anything more than a nice 4-seater luxury model, hence why it remained untouched except for the numerous special trims unlike the other models.

However, due to this car's shape compared to the 612, I do think it would be interesting to see what a stripped out version would look like. But, imo, I think the 599's successor will be the answer.

I agree with whats already being said, the 3/4 view suddenly makes it look much better. Pity the view most other people on the road will see is it coming face on in the rear view mirror.

Thanks for putting thought into an explanation but really my comment was just an introduction to my bad joke ;)
