It is too harsh. Probably saw his crash and though he needed a cool down penalty.

Haters gonna rejoice, lovers gonna have an excuse for a bad performance... All unecessary IMO

First time seeing the cars properly this weekend. Anyone else notice the Angry Bird on the Lotus? (plus congrats for 500 races. One of only three teams to do that I think)

Turned away from TV literally at the moment he smashed the armco, only heard the TV announcer say... 'and well it's here, Perez crashes into armco'

He almost completed a competitive lap at Monaco. Maybe next year.

Steering failure by the looks of it. Maldonado bites back?

Love that they're calling it Schumacher's wall... :D

Poor Perez. The guy does like to push, but that wasn't just a push...

Shame for Perez. But it'll still be an interesting race this weekend...

Do these things not have wheel tethers any more? 2 not very heavy accidents with Maldonado and later Perez and both lose a rear wheel.

And it took Brundle about 3 years before he spotted it on the replays.

He probably is still hungover from last nights party.

Kamui getting involved with the barriers, them Saubers must be wider then the rest of the field.

I think they are tethered at two points of suspension, if that exits stage left, the wheel goes with it.

niky is double posting again, it really is Grand Prix weekend!

Yes, I love internet lag, too...

Wonder what Lotus is playing at? They haven't set any times yet.

While tire conservation matters, so does getting into Q2...

The brakes are tethered to the suspension not the wheel or pitstops would take an age.

It's a nice day, Kimi is probably having an ice cream.
