Great lap from Michael, shame about the penalty.

I thought that was an exciting qualy session. Good to see Schumi back on top, if not for long. Can't wait for the race tomorrow!

What do you mean by class? I have a hard time using Schumacher and class in the same sentence

 Hey, he's a perfect gentleman when he's not trying to push you off the track...

Anthony Davidson said Schumi was half a second up at the end of the first sector. I wonder if Schumi knew he had to produce something special to qualify highly so he took the risk of going over the bump, perhaps he wont turn out to be so quick in the race because he can't do that for a full race.

So he kind of cheated? Classy :sly:

Oh hey, I didn't expect that.. At all. What has happened to all the drivers I expected to be strong?!?

Tomorrow is going to be extremely intense. Whose going to come out of the first corner first, might be the winner. By the looks of things going this season, that may not happen. Roll on tomorrow!

Well he couldn't exactly be penalised during Spain since he retired from the race...

Yea I know, but I don't remember so many this kind of penalties in previous seasons. The penalties are a bit strict lately imo.
Also Maldonado's 10 place drop for blocking? C'mon...

If Schumi and Maldonado hadn't driven in to other moving things they wouldn't have had penalties. Simples.

Good qualifying, be nice to see some more different results tomorrrow! Webber win perhaps?

Don't be ridiculous, he'd equal Perfect Seb for race wins this year then...

He's got a good chance but Grosjean looks immense this weekend.

Why do I feel a Schumacher win coming up? I know I am a big fan of Schumacher, but I am highly critical of him when he does things wrong. e.g. What he did in Spain against Hamilton. (NOT Senna, that wasn't all him. That was a 50-50). But today is lap was perfect in everyway, and don't forget Schumacher (and Rosberg) was in effect fastest in Q1 too. Since everyone else around them was on softer tires, even if you take 0.5s off (which is less than the 0.8 - 1s advantage from those) Schumacher and Rosberg were still faster... I'd love to see Hamilton win a race this season though. And Raikkonen. Even Webber, but I really wanna see Schumacher win this one!

There are quite a few drivers I'd like to see succeed or do well in this race. Grosjean, Alonso, Rosberg, Raikonen, Hamilton, Weber, Button, Massa, Senna, Perez, Kobayashi... and yes, Maldonado as well.

For me, currently Shumacher and Vettel rank very low. They've been extremely poor this season.

I don't want Schumacher to win, or he'll break the last well known record that is held by Senna, Prince of Monaco with 6 wins in 10 races.

The old fart would do the same in 21 tries....

He'd also match the joint amount of wins scored by Prost and Senna (numbers two and three in the all time win count).

I don't think Schumacher will win, he is starting from 6th so he would have to out class Webber, Rosberg, Alonso, Grosjean and Hamilton at a track where overtaking is more than hard. Plus considering how quick these drivers were he isn't going to be much faster than them if at all.
Grosjean for the win!

A few showers are still expected for tomorrow, before, during and after the race. If it rains, Schumacher will be one of them to watch despite starting in 6th place and the 3rd row of the grid. If anyone to storm to the front of the grid, it will be Schumacher.

Actually I didnt see the incident, I just read on a web site that he is penalized for blocking.
But yea if you say its ramming then he should get a penalty.

Remember when he sideswiped Hamilton at La Source? Same thing, only with Perez at Portier.

I was going to say that I hoped Schumacher wins because when he gets a win under his belt again he'll stop behaving like such an arse. But Badgift won the last race and went right back to bad habits...

Go Fatjohn. In fact go anyone in the top ten except Rosberg, Alonso and Maldonado - to make it six winners from six races.

Maldonado really deserved the penalty. That was extremely stupid by him and yeah, I really thought the 'immature' Maldonado has gone but seems like it just came back. I'm disappointed with that, personally.

EDIT: Also, Maldonado has just changed his gearbox so that means.. He will start last?

This may have already been asked but does history mark Schumacher's pole regardless of the penalty or will be it forever written as starting (or rather qualifying) 5th?

On the James Allen website, he said it will go down as a Webber pole, as that will be the list submitted by the FIA at 1pm tomorrow.
