You didn't happen to catch the Monaco Grand Prix, right? Everyone was convinced that rain was coming, but they weren't sure when - so they all drove conservatively to preserve their tyres for as long as possible in case the rain did come, thereby preventing them from needing to make another stop. And it was boring. If just one of the front-runners had taken a gamble on a dry race, things would have gotten very interesting, very quickly.

Well I'm excited... Anyone ever tell you to lighten up?

Good job England is not in Monaco and, as TheCracker said, we have had pretty mad weather this past few weeks.

Well, here in Portugal it's sunny 99% of the time so no big surprises ever.

Oh wait ...

I live about an hour from Silverstone and the weather is going to be rainy at least on saturday. I would bet lots of money on that, it has been showering all week and looks to get slightly worse for the weekend. Even worse for me as I'm racing an electric car on Saturday :( .

Best of luck mate 👍 I have a few friends heading down tomorrow, what number are you racing so I can get them to cheer you on? ;)

Going to be cheering jenson on!! he needs to turn his bad run around, hes never even finished on the podium at the british gp!!

There's a thread on this topic.

Its not at Silverstone, about 80 miles away from there but the weather forecast is still for rain.

As others have said, you can almost guarantee it will rain at some point during the weekend, just because when rain is forecast, it usually happens here. Hopefully it will be an exciting race, especially with the changeable weather.

As some of you know I'm pretty close to Silverstone and we're having thunderstorms

Hopefully they'll hit when I'm in a covered grandstand. I'm at Stowe for the race, and at the weather's mercy!

It's better than the last time they did it - that just looked like static on a dead television channel.

True  But at least people got what they paid for! Who wants a dark Blue, Red or Yellow tint over their picture :yuck:

Can someone please upload a picture of the Red Bull from the first link? My work computer does not play ball with some sites...

I'm pretty sure they just changed the colour of the picture backgrounds, not the whole image.

Don't expect good weather, I'm less than 30 miles from Silverstone, and we've had a lot of rain lately, and thunderstorms etc. I see rain coming on this. Therefore I see Schumacher winning...

(yeah right... if only)

The last time a race car had a Dark Knight Rises livery, it won.

Maybe Raikkonen or Grosjean can be just as lucky this weekend.

Do any of you guys think that Marussia will race the weekend..after whats happened this week?? i dont think they will..
