Why restart race? Ever since they introduced the plank the car has been alot harder to drive as it steers the car. Also shall we just go back to the f1 death race of past years? If your going down that route.
1: Who cares, it adds excitement, their is huge run off so no one will get hurt.
2: They are F1 drivers, they can handle it.

Sounds like bad luck to me, could happen to anyone really I mean look at Merc GP with Shumi's car. They were scrambling to get it out there on time, could have gone the other way. Same thing happened to Lewis last year and cut very close, I recall them working on the car at the grid.
It's not a tire issue, it's a visibility issue. Not being able to see combined with a track covered in standing water is a bad combination and doesn't make for good racing. Exciting for us to watch but the drivers can't push at all.

They're supposedly the best drivers in the world, get paid millions per year and they're not racing? Prost, Senna, Schumacher and so on have all raced in worse conditions and they won't race now? Great for the sports image...
