I missed qualifying :( ... Can someone please give me the starting grid? (at least the top 10)
Thanks :)

There you go!

I'd really like to see Lewis win this, but he needs Crashtor to remember that two cars can't occupy the same space at the same time.

Qualifying results were posted not more than two pages ago. Can't hurt to search.

With such topsy turvy results and Mercedes on an unusual strategy, it's going to be a fun race tonight.

I don't mind a "bump." I don't disagree with you, but, it's nice not even having to look back a page.

Speaking of which; I think Ferrari will soon rebadge Renault or Mercedes engines. How did Maldonado ever qualify his Williams that high?

I'm pretty excited about this race. If Maldonado gets jumped at the start, we'll have a lot of quick drivers racing it out. If Maldonado keeps his position, he could give Hamilton enough of a buffer to get away.

And if Maldonado beats Hamilton off the line?

I'm trying not to think of that. Hopefully Hamilton will get back past, but Maldonado isn't the easiest (or safest) pass in the field.

Honestly, I very seriously doubt anything will happen between Hamilton and Maldonado, especially at the start. Maldonado genuinely doesn't want to get in trouble. Just imagine the penalty he will receive if he cause a collision with Hamilton.

All Maldonado will see when he sits on the starting grid is the possibility of being first into turn 1, I think with his reputation he will expect Hamilton to give way if they are close going into turn 1.

What is actually wrong with Pastor Maldonado ? Is he some kind of crash magnet ? If he is, 1st turn collision is highly likely.

Vettel will squeeze Alonso into the wall at the start and bring out the safety car. Both will retire, Alonso right away and Vettel a lap later when he has limped back to the pits with a blown rear tyre and smashed up too much of the suspension. Hamilton will take the start and continue to win, comfortably. The only question is whether it will be a Grand Chelem or not. Button in second and Webber in third. The Pastor will do a Massa. Decent enough start but will then fall through the field and end up in eighth.

Looks like it'll be an exciting race today. Hoping for no 1st turn incident and for Pastor to finish 4th or 5th. Lewis 1st with Button close behind, Vettel to be 3rd. Oh yeah, and hope Force India get both cars in the points today.

He is just very reckless. He also believes that he has the right of way in all situations and if the opponent does not back off there will be a crash.

Strangely enough, I once heard someone describe Alonso as a formidable opponent because he puts you in a position where the two of you are going to collide, and then lets you make up your mind about whether you want it to happen or not.

I'm pretty sure that's what Martin Brundle said about Senna.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that description supposed to be referring Ayrton Senna? When Brundle was describing about the way Senna raced (in the film of Top Gear's tribute to Senna)

EDIT: Tree'd :/

Oddly, I think both Pastor and Lewis put great stock into the somewhat-related Senna quote. I'm not sure that works out so well.

Maybe it's just Lewis, and Crashtor just doesn't care.

I hope Fernando gets a poor start and drops 4-5 places. I really want to see this championship get blown wide open for the last few races but we all know how good Alonso is at driving a conservative race and getting the point. If he gets up to 4th then he will not be easily overtaken.

This +1.

Hopefully Hamilton drops down a few places too... Really lost my little remaining respect for Hamilton after the Spa twitter fiasco.

I'd rather see a Button/Vettel win, to keep the championship interesting.

He has hit the same wall three times this weekend, and qualified seventeenth while his team-mate is on the front row.

I think that says everything that needs to be said.

Yes, but there's no need to constantly gloat about it all the time...

Bottom-scraping sparks in qualifying!

Please take the entire "Senna versus Maldonado" argument into this thread. The rest of us are tired of it infiltrating every race thread...

Exactly. Some of us here actually want to discuss racing while some only post to complain about drivers.
