We need to get all F1 drivers running a 5 race short season of Spec Miata in the winter break, can you imagine?

Alan Jones said it simply, last night, "People ask is Vettel that good. He's in the best car and uses it to the utmost."

Vettel is in a fabulous position. He is a fantastic qualifier, a very good starter and also a driver who excels in driving the car when he is in the lead. It is the combination that makes him win all the time. If he was as poor a starter as Webber for instance all that qualifying skill would mean nothing since he is just average, by top F1 drivers standards, when it comes to racing and passing other drivers. He is also in the best car.

I've avoided the Pirelli bash-wagon up till now but this is just ridiculous:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/24690717

Pirelli has asked Formula 1 teams to limit running on the tyres in Sunday's Indian Grand Prix on safety grounds.
Teams have been asked not to use the 'soft' tyre for more than 15 laps and the 'medium' for no more than 35 laps.
Governing body the FIA is refusing to order the teams to follow the advice.

But if any teams goes beyond the limit and hit problems they could be brought before the stewards and asked why they ran their cars in a dangerous configuration.

No, just 6 tenths of it. If you really think Vettel is 8 tenths faster than Hamilton on raw speed something is definitely wrong with you.

Some people talk about Senna finding 1 whole second or more over Prost...even Prost himself does.

You need a subscription to read that article....

Meanwhile, DC is doing his bit for the Indian Tourist Board

In 2009, Before Red Bull, Sebestian came 2 in the championship with Toro Roso. His teammate Finished 16. There must be some skill there, and he's gotten better since then.
On another note, looking forward to see the tire strategys play out!

Huh? Vettel was with Red Bull in 2009, and his teammate came 4th. You may be getting your Sebastians mixed up

Yes, he was a Red Bull driver in 2009, Webber came 4th, Bourdais was still in Toro Rosso (and not 16th).
If a Toro Rosso finish 2nd of the driver championship, that is something we'd remember !

edit:sorry late post.

These tyre troubles might make the race exciting.

3 am here, the only thing keeping me awake is Perez in a good position

That was impressive once again from Vettel, straight through the pack.

If you listen very carefully, you can hear the squeakers of the "ABV Army" squeal like Cartman.

I love how Skysports says Paul is having a good day, but Merc GP probably can't get further up the grid to a podium today. What a joke Skysports, what a joke.

Speaking of commentary it always annoys me that Ben on BBC never reads the lap counter correctly. When someone pits he'll say "They did 29 laps" when the lap counter says 29/60, meaning the leader is ON lap 29, they haven't done 29.
