He's a defensive midfielder.... Why would you expect more goals then that?

I did not know that. Well thank you for correcting me. :)

So what does all the Liverpool and Man United members of this thread think of the new kits they have for next season?

I think the United home kit looks smart, i like the collar and the black on the cuffs...the Liverpool away kit looks....different!

RAWK on meltdown btw.

I like the new United kit except when the collar is up, for some reason the underside of the collar is stripy.

Apparently Chelsea offered Napoli 58 million for Cavani...

I remember the days (3 years ago...) when 30 million was a monster offer.

Madrid is the culprit here and the early 00s of Utd. However its not just the clubs but the agents as well.

Cavani is not alowed anywhere but Napoli!!

Some rumours in the mail today:

Arsenal looking to splash out £62m on Ginzalo Higuain, Ilkay Gundogan and Lars Bender.

And Chelsea are apparently looking to move their stadium, from Stamford bridge to Lillie bridge.
Plus Chelsea have already signed Jovetic from Fiorentina, and are still looking to get Cavani.

There has been a lot of noise about Arsenal and Higuain. Hopefully some truth in it!

I remember the days when the 3 million offered to Wednesday for David Hirst by Manchester United would have been a record fee for a transfer between British clubs...

Not only old, I was about your age when it happened...

When did it happen?

Manchester United boss Alex Ferguson tried six times to tempt Owls boss Trevor Francis to sell Hirst, but without success. Two of these occasions were in 1992. First, after a shortage of goals in the second half of the 1991–92 season had cost United the championship, Ferguson attempted to sign Hirst during the close season, but the offer was refused. In November, with United's title challenge flagging once again due to a shortage of goals, Ferguson offered the Owls £3million for Hirst, but the offer was rejected and United signed Eric Cantona instead.

Google is your friend! :D

Arsenal is known for being a skint. Unless they met the 25mil mark for Higuain no chance they are getting him.

25 mil for Higuain? do it Arsenal! worth it!!

It seems that is the price Real are asking for, nothing to do with being skint,I kind of wanted Rooney more but if we do land Higuain I'll be very happy aswell.

Juve seem to be in for him aswell ,who knows to be honest didn't see any of the Twitter ITKs say they know something for real.

Didn't Juve signe Fernando Llorente?

Which hopefully means they won't go all out for Higuain .

On a note from the America's... Aldo de Nigris will join Chivas del Guadalajara for 6mill dollars... He comes from the 3 time Concacaf Champions Monterrey.

Aldo, 28, is the young brother of Antonio "Tano" de Nigris, who died from a heart disease some years ago...

Man City complete signing of Jesus Navas from Sevilla for initial fee of £14.9 million...

Thiagos release clause is 18m€ btw. Which is peanuts really.

Man United have been linked with him lately...

Chelsea shelved the Schurrle deal for the time being to assess de Bruyne, according to Sun. Good move, de Bruyne is a brilliant player, already I'd say he'd be one of the best playmakers in the league.

Chelsea has one of the most bizarre youth policies Ive ever seen.

Regarding to De Bryune then, everyone has potential to rise to the highest levels of football but they never do. Talented, sure but professionalism is still questionable. Canales, Dos Santos, Ganso, Pato are the prime examples.

THE DEVIL HAS LOCKED ITS DOOR.

Madrid has officially bought Casemiro for 6m. One of the most talented yet most underrated holding midfielders Ive ever seen. Has shone for Castilla B ever since he arrived.

1. Good vision all around
2. Covers alot of ground
3. Ability to dribble out of the tight positions
4. Dominates the centre of the midfield by presence and by his passing channels
5. Good looking
6. Can be utilized as B2B midfielder, preferably good at offensive stage when it comes to bringing the ball forward
7. Good transition between the lines of Defence to Attack
8. Consistent, composure, and professionalism
9. Has acknowledged the midfielder of DLP.
10. Brazilian

Oddly enough, Hes only good at 2-3 things out of 10.

Leverkusen has agreed to a deal for Schurrle with Chelsea, rumored at £18 million.

Latest talk is that Monaco is getting Hulk. So if true that makes 4 former FC Porto players playing together again. James, Joao Moutinho, Falcao and Hulk. WOW!
If they keep this up, Monaco is going to do some serious damage in Ligue 1, qualify for CL and continue the following season.
