Ricciardo went off track while overtaking Di Resta.
 
So I guess Merc GP don't want to finish ahead of Ferrari...shame. Oh and those two shouldn't forget that Lotus aren't too far behind.

I understand what you're were saying but overall it looks like the RBRs are faster than the Lotus, it's just a matter of time. And that much later stop could be said gave him fresh tires to churn better laps while the two were on older. I'd rather go with those two being faster than Grosjean sadly.

All down to strategy. See, now Vettel needs a bigger cushion over Grosjean to come out in front of him. He doesn't have it. Mark doesn't have any cushion at all, and will most likely finish third... but he'll have the medium tire... so he may have a chance to overtake whoever comes in second... which means a fight with Vettel, if Vettel can't use his fresher tires on the last stint to overtake Romain right after his pit.

I see the strategy, my point is I don't think the Lotus is going to have the needed speed to win this, despite strategy.

Looks like it!

Vettel and Mark may be pitting around the same time. This will keep Mark behind Vettel, and give both medium tires to overtake Grosjean. But the question is... will there be enough time?

Lotus now have to set a target pace for Grosjean rather than maintaining that gap, because if Red Bull play them into concentrating on the gap, Red Bull will likely win the race.

EDIT: Hard tires for Vettel... so no, it's not happening.

The later part of Grosjean's stint is what to worry about and how much Vettel can get out of those 8 laps newer tires without burning them up like he seems to be doing today.
 
This is the most interesting & exciting race in MONTHS!

I don't see how he is about to get beat by Grosjean, unless the strategy is for Grosjean to save tires and let Vettel pass and then gain it back when he pits. Looks like it wont even go to the end of Grosjean's stint like I was hoping for.
 
It appears we're going to have an interesting last few laps, with Webber being on faster tyres.

Don't see how, since Vettel had to fight to get this far. I rather see him fight for a win then just lead from lap 1 to the end. Some of you just hate when the guy is on the top step, and it's whatever at this point in the season.

I just hope Webber pulls a drive like he did at Silverstone and then some.
 
So ... Webber gets on fresh tires, around 5 seconds behind Vettel, Vettel will lose race pace at lap 49-50 ish, Webber would have to go like a demon in after lap 50 to have a window (which is very posible).

Only variable unaccounted is Grosjean, we are yet to see if his pace can match Webber's and surpasses Vettel's within the next 5 or 6 laps.
