I'm more curious about the car in the background!

The fan vote has been a joke the whole time, the people he deserve to be in it will get in period either by winning either a race or the showdown itself. I went to the All-star last year and said never again, that was the biggest waste of time I have ever seen, Jimmie should be flat out ashamed at how he ran that race. I'm glad this year they are using average off all the segments!

I understand your frustration but Jimmie along with a couple of other drivers just played the system. I mean there's nothing in rule book to say you can't do that as long as you're above the minimum speed. This year should be much better as you say.

The Daytona 500 pole doesn't count?

Honestly, I don't find anything special about winning a pole at Daytona or Talladega. All you do is put your foot to the floor and steer so there's not much of a challenge and you can''t really do much if at all to change your destiny.

^^ Both are right, but I wanted to make reference to the importance of having achieved something like that. Is the Daytona 500....and winning a pole is already big, According to my point of view...

Anyway, here is Brad K's truck for the Charlotte Friday Night Race!

BREAKING NEWS!
The Rowan County Sheriff's Office said it has issued warrants for the arrest of Mike Joseph Harmon and Sheila Rae Rice for felony larceny and breaking and entering in connection with the case of Jennifer Jo Cobb's transporter, that was stolen from race shop in Saturday, May 11, 2013, at around 3:00 AM.
It values the hauler and contents at $279,000. Harmon, a NASCAR driver and team owner primarily in the Nationwide Series, has worked with Cobb in the past. Harmon used to be the team manager for Cobb's Nationwide team

Play the system is kinda chicken crap. I mean they did it, I'm over it but as a driver/team I wan to put on a show. 10 laps is also a joke because if your roughly 5 back you have no chance to catch leader without big mistake.

When you become a NASCAR driver/team owner, you can tell your drivers to do/do yourself whatever you want in the off chance you make the All Star race.

I'm glad this year they are using average off all the segments!

They need to go back to 1992 when they would invert the field between segments. Imagine if they inverted the field after every segment, and then used the average finishing position for all four segments to set the order for the mandatory pit stop preceding the final segment. The fastest cars would need to race their way to the front time and time again to earn the first spot for the final segment. THAT might be fun to watch. As it stands now, whoever wins the first segment will just continue to drive away and probably won't be seriously challenged in such short stints.

That does sound fun too, these haven't really been as exciting as they could be!

The incident occurred at 12:02 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery on Highway 150 East in Boger City.

In memory of Mr. Trickle, I leave this video. Rest in peace, you will be missed.

Sorry to see The Man go. Hopefully, he's happier now. As I get older, it's nice to have been inspired by a then-49-year-old Rookie of the Year...something we're not likely to see again in the world of sports.

I know I've said it before, but his "smoke break" is one of my favorite NASCAR memories from the past, and I don't smoke. I remember watching that live, and having quite a chuckle!
