It doesn't have either the pointless hood sponsor logo or the name on the windshield. Many schemes are still shown offically for the first time at the Cup media tour in January.

It also has car # on taillight/headlight that can't be there in 2013!

Interesting bit from this article:

Sporting News
The 22-year-old Logano, who spent the first four years of his Cup career at Joe Gibbs Racing, had his first test Tuesday with Penske Racing. Shuffled out of JGR in favor of former Cup champion Matt Kenseth, Logano hopes to show that he is set for the prime of his racing career.

He joins an organization fresh off winning its first Sprint Cup title with Brad Keselowski, who lobbied Penske officials to hire Logano as his teammate.

“It’s really cool to have a teammate that’s a student of the sport, that really studies it and will push me to do things differently,” Logano said of Keselowski. “The coolest thing that Brad is able to do is he’s able to think outside of the box — like way outside the box.

“That’s interesting to me, to see the way his mind works.”

Logano has finished between 16th and 24th in the standings in his four seasons. He has won two Cup races but didn’t develop as quickly as JGR officials had hoped after rushing him to the Cup series after just one partial season in Nationwide.

Wonder what made Brad so interested in having Logano over as his teammate.

Maybe he sees the potential in Joey from his success in NW and thinks Joey just needs a little something extra to have the same breakthrough in the Cup series. Brad turned a Nationwide title into a pretty solid Cup breakthrough himself in the last two seasons.

I think Joey's skill-set will be much more effective with the new car. I predict he will have the best season of his career in 2013. Maybe Brad sees the same thing?

Exactly.

Brad made the step-up from Nationwide to Cup and everyone expected Joey to but Joey this year in his Nationwide participation that he still has the raw talent that everyone saw.

And from a personality and maturity stand-point, he's a very employable person.

One would like to think that this would be the case. I suppose he's not had that breakout year in the Sprint Cup when he's been a title threat and a big Chase seed so there's not much to look back on but there's plenty more to look forward on.

On the other hand, I seriously do wonder what is going with these Earnhardt-Ganassi boys. It almost seems to me that the only thing that is giving Jamie McMurray a ride next season is his name which is very marketable for McDonalds of course. Jamie Mac. is a creditable race-car driver but he's simply not getting it done in terms of making the Chase and putting a Ganassi stamp on the Sprint Cup. I wonder what is the expectations for EGR and how do they expect to progress.

Just curious, but who holds the modern era record for the most consecutive Cup seasons with at least one win?

Another question I would like to ask is, was Jamie McMurray's 3 wins in 2010 the reason that the Wild Card was introduced?

I don't know, but i think it's either Jeff Gordon or Rusty Wallace.

Gordon's lasted 14 seasons, and Rusty Wallace's lasted 16 seasons. Ricky Rudd's was 16 seasons too, if I'm right.

I think Jamie Mac has a ride for life with EGR as long as there is a sponsor on the car.
Also, win streak wise, if you count non modern era Richard Petty went longer (1960-1977).

My first thought was Rudd.

Well the thing is Robby never fully put all his eggs into cup with his team. He tried but basically was always robbing Paul to pay Peter. He is a smart business guy and talented racer as long as it's someone elses equipment because he has to have it his way from ground up.

This is also his last year running Dakar rally too. His team is for sale for 5 mil, truck to rent is 1.5 mil or buy at 1 mil. I think he is going back to his drink and stadium trucks which is a smart move for him. His son will be a terror when he comes through any form of racing too.

Now back to topic at hand. I think Brad saw Joey as kid who was alot like him but thing Joey has issues because he thinks he is owed something unlike Brad worked hard.

On a less moronic note, Trevor Bayne got engaged

About Penske Racing and Richard Petty Motorsports, are they actually going to have a worse year than 2012 in 2013 due to Penske switching to Ford? Ford gives Roush the best support of all teams that are using Ford as their manufacturer, so wouldn't Penske be second in line, followed by RPM getting the leftover equipment that would have gone to RFR and Penkse?
