It doesn't have either the pointless hood sponsor logo or the name on the windshield. Many schemes are still shown offically for the first time at the Cup media tour in January.
It also has car # on taillight/headlight that can't be there in 2013!It doesn't have either the pointless hood sponsor logo or the name on the windshield. Many schemes are still shown offically for the first time at the Cup media tour in January.
What?
Parker Kligerman to drive the number 77 for KBM.
Wes Townly to Drive for Red Horse.
Has he gone so far that he's crashed his name now?
Sporting NewsThe 22-year-old Logano, who spent the first four years of his Cup career at Joe Gibbs Racing, had his first test Tuesday with Penske Racing. Shuffled out of JGR in favor of former Cup champion Matt Kenseth, Logano hopes to show that he is set for the prime of his racing career.
He joins an organization fresh off winning its first Sprint Cup title with Brad Keselowski, who lobbied Penske officials to hire Logano as his teammate.
“It’s really cool to have a teammate that’s a student of the sport, that really studies it and will push me to do things differently,” Logano said of Keselowski. “The coolest thing that Brad is able to do is he’s able to think outside of the box — like way outside the box.
“That’s interesting to me, to see the way his mind works.”
Logano has finished between 16th and 24th in the standings in his four seasons. He has won two Cup races but didn’t develop as quickly as JGR officials had hoped after rushing him to the Cup series after just one partial season in Nationwide.
Interesting bit from this article:
Wonder what made Brad so interested in having Logano over as his teammate.
Maybe he sees the potential in Joey from his success in NW and thinks Joey just needs a little something extra to have the same breakthrough in the Cup series. Brad turned a Nationwide title into a pretty solid Cup breakthrough himself in the last two seasons.
I think Joey's skill-set will be much more effective with the new car. I predict he will have the best season of his career in 2013. Maybe Brad sees the same thing?
On the other hand, I seriously do wonder what is going with these Earnhardt-Ganassi boys. It almost seems to me that the only thing that is giving Jamie McMurray a ride next season is his name which is very marketable for McDonalds of course. Jamie Mac. is a creditable race-car driver but he's simply not getting it done in terms of making the Chase and putting a Ganassi stamp on the Sprint Cup. I wonder what is the expectations for EGR and how do they expect to progress.
Just curious, but who holds the modern era record for the most consecutive seasons with at least one win?
MÜLE_9242;7914758I don't know, but i think it's either Jeff Gordon or Rusty Wallace.
Going to be scanning twitter and websites for news for a few championships, one of them NASCAR.
Robby Gordon won't be running in 2013.
Stormtrooper217Gordon's lasted 14 seasons, and Rusty Wallace's lasted 16 seasons. Ricky Rudd's was 16 seasons too, if I'm right.
Ricky Rudd's was 16 seasons too.
R1600TurboIs it me or do you like to bump this thread with really random crap?
