Well it hasn't harmed anyone yet (that and I'm sure Kyle Busch along with Ty Dillon and Kyle Larson and others had to have practiced those similar burnouts) so I don't see any reason for them to do anything about it.

Meh, worst he could've did was hit the wall. As far as I can workout, he wasn't far enough out of the vehicle that he could've hurt himself.

You can't fully know that, he could have hit the wrong way, or done something worse. It's just a risky move that I don't think needs to happen anymore even if it looks cool.

In fairness, racing itself is one big risky move. In no way am I saying everyone should do it, I just think the notion that its too dangerous is abit overeactive and its only a handful of drivers doing it. I'm still under the impression they had to know what they are doing to do these celebrations.

It's not necessarily the driver's safety I'm worried about, all it would take is some idiot trying to do it in a parking lot, than falling out in the process to get NASCAR in a massive pile of 🤬.

(I'm well aware plenty of people do it already, but NASCAR is visible and would get a lot of blame)

I understand what you are saying but driving a race car in a seat in the normal position is one thing. Hanging out of the window with one hand or no hands on the gas while it's moving, is a totally different thing. He might have been fine, but what if that kicked the wrong way and smacked the wall with him in between it? Yes I am going to the extreme because that's what I thought about while it was happening too.

I have the same issue with guys losing up their restraints while they are on the cool down lap still going anywhere from 25-65ish, look at what happened to Montoya. You start messing around getting out and all that, tire goes flat or something is upset with you and runs into your side or spins you.

Then there is this flip side!

NASCAR would of banned both backflips and fence climbing (Well, before Tony got lazy and fatter) waaaaaay before they'd ban this.

I don't know some fool may try this and slip off the side only to end up under their rear tire, now that's some prime TV we don't need. I can see back flips being dangerous but Carl is actually trained in it, and the fence climbing is harmless. It gives all fence climbers every where a dream of driving in Nascar, you dream crusher Ganon you!

You've seen drifters do this crap right? Sure there are videos of a rogue car attacking its owner as the jackass dances outside of his rotating car. Drifters have been doing this long before a NASCAR driver even thought about doing it.

Bah, this is nothing. Maybe have "don't try this at home"...no, because if these are the people I know, they only do it when that message flashes up.

Anyway, If he's standing on the pedals, he's not falling out, and there have been worse possible celebrations, fence climbing and backflips are two. How about standing on top of the vehicle while it's idling down the track?

I guess this is Kyle's new burnout, best one I've ever seen and I hope he wins a Cup race so we can see it in a Cup car

Brad's patriotic burnout is still the best!

Doing a burnout while holding flag. Yeah, that's real hard.

Didn't you know the stars and stripes make it difficult.

It's about 10x more difficult than doing a burnout with the checkered flag. 💡

I don't see the harm in what Kyle did. If he's standing on the gas, it's even easier to stand on the brake (more) if he needed to, or better yet, pull himself back inside.

Now trying that at Martinsville..... :scared:

I said I was aware of that, those video's don't have millions of people watching every week though so if some idiot gets his head crushed the news channels will blame NASCAR even if the person wasn't a fan.

The finish last night at Bristol was pretty good. I thought Timothy Peters had "Rowdy" Kyle Busch until Rowdy pulled away. Worse than losing is crossing the finish line spinning out. In the end though, "Rowdy" in Victory Lane at Bristol. Up next for NASCAR Trucks, they'll leave the United States and challenge one of the finest race courses in Canada- Mosport (Canadian Tire Motorsports Park nowadays). I'm really surprised Nationwide and/or Cup challenge Mosport. But, get ready to hear 36 NASCAR Trucks take on the tricky and speedy Mosport track.

Nationwide and Cup will hit Bristol (respectively) Friday night and Saturday night.

The NASCAR Nationwide Series will get its shine on later tonight taking on Bristol Motor Speedway. Right now, though, it is Final Practice for the Sprint Cup teams. Currently leading Final Practice as of the time of this post is Brad Keselowski at 124.202 mph.

Good luck to all drivers and teams this weekend (including tonight's race).

Pizza, beer, and BRISTOL BABY!!!

It's a brilliant move on SHR's part. Let's see, won a championship already and to boot, is so talented that he's putting a single car operation in the Chase too. Imagine how well he'll do with better equipment and more funding? Yeah, that's what I thought! Newman couldn't put up numbers.. And not only Haas but two other sponsors are knocking if SHR signs Kurt. No comparison between Kurt and Newman and obviously it's known in the corporation and known by sponsors... Nothing but a brilliant business move and a huge bump in talent for hass racing next year.

All that is left is NASCAR Cup to take on Bristol. We'll have to see who have the winning tools to win the Irwin Tools Night Race. Those still with a chance to make this season's Chase will need to build up something to get themselves into the Chase and not have to settle for next season.

Good luck to all drivers and teams for tonight's Cup race at Bristol.
