I actually think this is going to be a strong NW season. Not that last season was competitive with half the field start and parking...

Hi guys.

I'm relatively new to NASCAR, having only watched a few races before, (including the 500 a couple of years ago), and the highlights when they're shown every so often. I'm interested in getting to know the sport and understanding how an entire season would play out. As currently, I'm aware that there are two different series, Sprint and Nationwide. But what are the differences?

Nascar is something I've wanted to get into as a fan, for quite a while now, and I'm sure with some help along the way from fans such as yourselves, that'll become possible. :D

I'm currently about to watch the first Nationwide Series Race? I think :scared:

The Daytona 500 is tomorrow, too, but I don't think there's any coverage of that here in the UK this year for some strange reason, as there has been before.

Didn't know Stewart has won six races at Daytona in NW!
All 6 came in this race.
The first was in 2005, so do the math.
Also Shell might be on the car but Pennzoil has had slightly more emphasis as sort of an agreement with Sunoco.

Sprint is considered the highest series, while Nationwide is more the developmental series, that doesn't stop Sprint drivers from competing in Nationwide. The cars are different and usually slower in Nationwide. Yes, Nationwide is today, as it is usually the day before the Sprint races.

Well tbh so is everyone else to not wreck this early. If Lagosee had not spun, a huge wreck in turn 1 was coming.

Watching the Nationwide race makes me wish that Toyota would make their NW car the GT-86

Does anyone see the black challenger on the feild?? Or am I seeing things??

Which black car? Don't recall any challengers from qualifying.

WTH?! Why? Can he do that?

While a Manufacterer can drop official support, teams can still run that car as long as it fits the rules. Its why even when Pontiac left, one team ran it still and likewise, the intrepids from 2005.

Kurt car doesn't look that dinged up! phew!

That makes since, well I guess one Fiat employee is watching up there...
