Logano should be parked for Martinsville.

Denny's clearly injured and Logano has jeoparised the safety of his peers by letting his emotions take over his driving. Irrespective of the incident with Tony, Joey should not be allowed to race next week.

There was intent from Joey to wreck Hamlin if he wasn't going to win himself.

Ball is in your court, NASCAR.

Joey won't race next week anyways. Hamlin is going to a local hospital. Logano may be parked for Martinsville if not multiple races.

I'll let tonys interview speak for itself. There's a big difference from blocking and from driving someone into the grass in front of the whole field. I'm sure Tony coulda stayed on it and wrecked him in front of the field, but then he'd be the bad guy. Or he could check up and go argue and be the bad guy.

Well seeing the review over and over...he wasn't in the grass. Also yet again- not sure if you didn't get the point- Tony has done plenty of what Lagano just did to others, even paid the price of being wrecked due to it. For him to cry about it quite sad, and full of irony/double standards. You didn't really acknowledge why Tony being mad is Pot. Kettle. Black. Rather you just said (with more words) what you had prior. I'm a Tony Stewart fan but I'll call a guy on his BS views no matter what.

Stewart should be fined bigtime, Logano did nothing wrong!

Wrong. Logano did nothing wrong on THAT incident. Logano DID do something wrong by wrecking Hamlin intentionally AND his comments are worse than what Stewart said. A driver has to go to a hospital and you say "that's what he gets"? People like that don't deserve to be in a race car ever.

I don't are about Joey. He will get what's coming to him. I don't care about Tony's fine. No matter how much it is, he can pay it no problem. I just hope Denny didn't get hurt too bad and will be able to race next week. :nervous:

I'll be shocked if Logano's parked. Drivers have done worse in the past and only received a slap in the wrist. Just look at how much Kyle had to do before NASCAR said enough. I'm not necessarily defending Logano, but I will criticize the track for not having a SAFER barrier at that section of track.

Do you or anyone else know if Lagano at that point in time had been informed. I mean when a guy comes over to fight you with his pit crew, the last thing on your mind is what happened to the driver you wrecked with. Also he probably had to find a place to cool down, so I mean unless we know for sure that he knew Hamlin was sent to the hospital all we can say is Lagano's comments were heat of the moment.

Causing an injury with intentional contact is, in my books, pretty much the worst offense you can do in any form of motorsports.

And Kyle was parked less than 18 months ago. If it can be proven that Logano intentionally wrecked Hamlin AND Hamlin is hurt, legal actions could be pursued.

Stewart: As much as I like him, that was rediculous. How do you complain about blocking when its done to you, but not have a problem when you do it to someone else? Totally pathetic 👎

Logano: "Thats what he gets" Not only can you not settle the issue off twitter, but then you have to do that and this is your response. Grow the hell up 👎

I'm pretty sure Logano did not know Denny was hurt since he was trying to defend himself from Stewart. I'm a Stewart fan but what he did was stupid. He looks like a fat Kyle Busch.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing and putting a SAFER barrier may not have stopped Hamlin going to hospital. For sure, it dissipates energy in crumple zone but we've seen quite a few drivers, notably Dale Earnhardt Jr. last year at Talladega miss a race due to concussion.

NASCAR has to make a point to say that this is unacceptable. Its one thing to have a rivalry like Gordon and Bowyer at Phoenix last year but its another to have injured drivers as a result of it.

I'll admit, I am a huge Logano fan, and Hamlin fan, but I do think that what Logano did was wrong. Just hope Hamlin is ok.

How so? Stewart was in the wrong for coming at logano like that...you have the mental capacity of a 5 year old. Trick.

Chqr, I think he just called you a prostitute. That or he thinks Stewart is one.

Agreed, Lagano's response gets me more due to the eye for an eye attitude/vibe. Which means that nearly half the top guys may not finish a several races during a season if this mentality were to happen. For example: Hamlin got Lagano, Lagano got Hamlin...now next week Hamlin could get Lagano or Stewart will get Lagano or Lagano may get Stewart (if he isn't talked to). See what I mean, and then it just mudslides from there. But that isn't what Nascar is about, and people should grow up.

Lagano's issue I feel is similar to other drivers such as BK, Kenseth or Biffle, the picked on drivers that don't want to put up with crap. I just think Lagano has the worst anger.

First time I've seen that term used in a deragatory matter in a long while

It's too bad Logano had to go and ruin the end of what would have been the best race of the year with that boneheaded move. He clearly drove up the track into Hamlin, and admitted as much in his post-race interview. It was a coward's move, because he knew Hamlin had the faster run on the outside and was going to beat him fair and square. When you put a guy in an ambulance and say "he had it coming," it's going to come back to you. Logano deserves whatever is given back to him at this point, from anyone.

Other than that crap, the last twenty laps featured incredible racing, with cars all over the track: up high, in the middle, down low, on the flat, and against the wall. Now, no one is going to remember how exciting those laps were because of that last lap wreck. I just wish the drivers had raced as hard for the first 180 laps as they did in those final 20.

I think Logano will never be respected after a move like that. Would not be shocked if the curse of the 22 strikes again.

I respect him. He didn't do anything wrong. He didn't turn right. He didn't intentionally wreck anyone. He was fighting for the win, and his car just didn't have enough to hold it. If it was anyone other than Hamlin he was racing, he probably would have been more likely to back it down, but still. It was the last lap.

Tony Stewart, on the other hand, I have no respect for. Stupid Hypocrite, and the single biggest baby in Nascar. Not sure why he still gets a pass.

EDIT: okay maybe not. Never heard the interview.

As the resident Junior super fan, that not right. He actually gain on concussion via testing at Kansas with the new tires to be used. The next wreck made it even worse, and he was told it would be in his best interest to sit out or something worse may happen.

BURRRRN! :scared:

I do appreciate the decency and class the 11 pit crew has to not get into squabbles. I don't see anything wrong with what Tony Stewart did. Plus, NASCAR loves Tony Stewart. How much was he fined for throwing a helmet at Kenseth? $0

Stewart should be fined bigtime, Logano did nothing wrong!

I think Logano getting punched in the face a couple times was more than balanced out by him purposely putting a driver in the hospital and then saying he was glad it happened.

So you don't think that Logano should be suspended then.
