Isn't Kyle still doing selected NW events in the #54?

Yes but it isn't a KBM car, it's being run out of JGR which it's really the 18 from last year. The deal was JGR didn't like how Kyle ran his own team so this year in return to run for Gibbs, KBM got engines from Gibbs and some help. It was a win win which allowed them add rides and Gibbs got someone for owners title (I think he is running 26 events but I know it's in the 20s).

I believe KBM could be similar to Turner is, which is awesome as I'm not huge fan of Turner as a team but I like few of their drivers like Piquet, Burton (some will said Elliott is there but it's Hendrick owned Turner truck) which raises another question for me and we can have an adult conversation here.

Why is Turner the Chevy powerhouse in lower series and not JRM?! It makes no sense to me as far as Dale Jr has biggest ties, the ability to really run some strong teams with Hendrick help but they are average teams, nothing really makes them stand out at all. If I was an owner/driver, I'd be alot like Kyle is and try to build up a very nice stable of top teams but just seems like Jr doesn't really care overall. He could have kept Cole Whitt, but he hardly gave the kid a chance while Regan hasn't exactly been impressive to me.

Poor Cole Whitt.
He impresses so many people in Trucks in 2011, got a few pretty decent Cup races the last bit of 2011, now he's sitting on the couch at home.
Also of note: Cole Whitt finished 7th in Nationwide 2012 points and got fired. Danica Patrick got 10th, and received more or less a promotion to a Cup team that just won a championship not two years ago.

I didn't know if KBM was still a team, or if it was now a Gibbs extension. I hadn't heard ANYTING about the team, and the 54 being a Gibbs car therw me off.

KBM has been in the news for few reasons like his 54 truck took outside pole with rookie Darrell Wallace Jr and the 16 year old kid who beat him at Snowball Derby landed a ride for few races.

It kind of ticked me off when that happened and Jr has lost respect from me (not that I really paid him much attention like he needed any more). It seems like even though Cole did a pretty good job he got canned for a Cup guy without a ride.

All these stupid it's who you know deals gets old! I didn't mind Regan coming over but not for the loss of Cole there (I don't think there was much push to get him a ride either).

Is my stream on track? Just showing BK in pits.

Gasman's heels were on fire, too.

Hope they stretch their legs a bit here. Nice to see another record broken. These cars have still a lot unexplored in potential.

Johnson's car is wrecking loose. I remember his car being like that at Charlotte a few times, and most of the time, it ends poorly for him.

Gordon finally takes the lead.
He's got Texas in his sights again.

And now Kyle grabs it back after a pretty good pit stop.

Edit : Kyle snaps into the wall and is losing pace. JJ creeps up to challenge Gordon.
And caution #5 for the day.
