Doesn't matter at Talladega. The dirty air wont make the cars push that much, compared to other tracks, because of the super long, high banked turns.

If they had to lift for the turns, then yes, maybe. But not Talladega.

Bigger spoiler = more rear downforce = better handling cars = more confident drivers = more racing

Bigger Spoiler also = more drag = bigger hole punched in the air = bigger slipstreams = easier to pass

It also means that side-drafting will slow the cars down even more.

Basically they made the cars less aero dependent so they worked better on 1.5 mile tracks where aero wasn't a big deal in passing. They can add some downforce for these races since aero push isn't as big of a deal, they'll just need to get let the restrictor plate be bigger to compensate for the extra drag on the cars now

Still watching waiting for a restart, we've waited long enough that we deserve a break from the weather gods.

How bout the ol' fishtails that were used on the pontiacs and monte carlos back in the day?!

Just 26 to go?! MWR engines on fine form.

I'm fairly certain Jimmie Johnson will win this race they're showing now, Danica will have a chance to win if she moves with Dale on the last lap but won't get in there and fall back, all from my crystal ball :sly:

Caution is out, race will resume. Juan Montoya having issues with ignition.

Somebody tell Labonte and Gilliland they don't belong in the front. Well. Logano decided to tell Gilliland that and fall back further.
