I believe I posted my proposed rules changes at some point in this thread, but here they are as a reminder:

1. Eliminate the Chase
2. Reduce schedule to 30 races while increasing track diversity
3. Fastest 43 cars in qualifying make the race, no provisionals
4. No more kiddie rules (lucky dog, wave-around)
5. Increase pit road speed by 10 mph at all tracks
6. Make sure Brian France, Mike Helton, Robin Pemberton, and their friends/family can never get near the sport again

I forgot one very important rule:

7. Sprint Cup drivers are banned from running the lower series. A driver can move up (ex. Trucks to Nationwide) but not back down unless demoted or they choose to run the lower series before the season starts.

Well there is one issue I see with that, drivers who maybe are a rookie at a track or moving up who might need some help running the truck race before the nationwide. I think rookies can get a break from the rule while others can only race a very limited schedule for lower series.

How much money do you have invested in a NW team as a sponsor? I'm not saying that I do. But, if I did, I'd want the best drivers in my car. Even with Cup drivers in the lower series, the cream rises to the top. The trucks are on their last leg as it is, and you want to ban Cup drivers? Who was it that won the truck championship and then lost his sponsor the next season? The truck series demonstrates how much of a money pit racing is and can be. Even though races are televised..

Also, how can you determine if someone is demoted, the team could just say they demoted the driver for a race and then repromoted him.

Implement a one race per weekend rule, with the only exemption to the rule being series rookies.

How about limit cup drivers to just 5 races in nationwide and 3 in trucks. Nationwide and truck drivers race when ever they want.

I know it's early in the race, but I'm impressed by how well the Germain car(#13) is doing today and this year in general. So far they have 4 top 20 finishes in 2013 and are running 19th right now. Compared to last year where they had 5 through the whole season.

Yeah, the 13 and 78 teams are the underfunded teams that I really feel can go up there and race with the big teams. Them and front row.
