The group stage was drawn about an hour ago with three British teams taking part, here it is...

Group A-Villarreal, Borussia Moenchengladbach, FC Zurich, Limassol

Group B-FC Copenhagen, Club Brugge, Torino, Helsinki

Group C-Tottenham, Besiktas, Partizan Belgrade, Tripolis

Group D-FC Salzburg, Celtic, Dinamo Zagreb, Astana

Group E-PSV Eindhoven, Panathainikos, Estoril, Dinamo Moscow

Group F
-Inter Milan, Dnipro, St Etienne, Qarabag

Group G-Sevilla, Standard Liege, Feyenoord, Rijeka

Group H-Lille, Wolfsburg, Everton, Krasnodar

Group I-Napoli, Sparta Prague, Young Boys, Slovan Bratislava

Group J-Dynamo Kiev, Steaua Bucharest, Rio Ave, Aalborg

Group K-Fiorentina, PAOK, Guingamp, Dinamo Minsk

Group L-Metalist Kharkiv, Trabzonspor, Legia Warsaw, Lokeren

Groups A, C and G will be the ones to watch in my opinion. There are some quality sides in there. Group H could also be interesting from an English point of view. Lille, Wolfsburg and Kuban Krasnodar are some tough opposition for Everton.

Celtic took a very important point last night, played some great football and a defensive error lead to the first goal(*gasp*).

Was really impressed with Everton, 4-1 win against a good team like Wolfsburg....

First game of the season I'm going to this season on Thursday. Looking forward to it, although the top tier is closed due to lack of interest/protest.

Krasnodar v Everton on now with Tottenham v Besiktas and Celtic v Dinamo Zagreb on later...

Europa League tonight, Everton drew away to Lille, decent result for them but the Spurs game was unreal, that goal by Lamela (you really need to see it if you haven't!!) and Lloris gets sent off late on when they have used all they're subs so Harry Kane goes in goal and immediately concedes from the resulting free kick after not holding on to the ball, Spurs won 5-1 to Asteras..

Slovan Bratislava vs Sparta Prague was abandoned on 41 minutes due to crowd trouble with the score at 0-0.

The match did resume, with Sparta scoring 3 second half goals. I'm glad I wasn't near the ground or the train station last night. These are some violent mofos.

That Lamela goal was absolutely superb! Great night for Harry Kane too, getting a Hattrick.

@C-ZETA Who is that back-up keeper for Spurs? Where is Brad Friedel?

Your save is bad and you should feel bad.

Ah, okay. I didn't catch the game so didn't know this.

Still a rubbish save. Couldn't catch a cold, that lad!

Forgot to post in here after getting drowned at the game on Thursday...perhaps the most torrid game of football I've ever watched.

Still, we won(Celtic 2 Astra 1).

Celtic drew 1-1 to Astra and Spurs beat Astera 2-1 earlier, Everton currently leading 2-0 v Lille, good night for the three Brits involved thus far 👍

Big night tonight, if we get a point qualification is guaranteed. However, nothing but a win would do for me tonight. Really want to avoid the CL dropouts if we were to make it in the next round.

Bruges is playing out in Torino tonight, hope we demolish their defensive wall and win.

Worst part was losing I bet!, even though you did get beat Celtic are still through because Dinamo Zagreb lost, Everton and Spurs are through as well

Looks like Tottenham will be in trouble with UEFA though because of the three pitch invasions by the Partizan fans, match was suspended for 10 mins...

Spot on about the worst part...first 20 mins were a shambles but after that we had them pinned for quite a lot of the match!

So the Group Stage comes to a close tonight, all three British teams are already through and the managers of said teams will name weakened teams and have left players behind, games are Besiktas v Tottenham and Dinamo Zagreb v Celtic on in a bit and Everton v Krasnodar on later..

Spurs match just suspended for floodlight failure. The Besiktas fans have lit it up with their phones and it actually looks really nice.

Ha Tottenham's last game in Europe was suspended too!

Everton, Spurs and Celtic all lost last night but were through anyway....
