And more importantly it drops Sheffield Wednesday off the "worst team in the competition" hook!

Now we're down to just:
Coventry City
Ipswich Town
Leyton Orient
Nottingham Forest
Queens Park Rangers
Wolverhampton Wanderers

Can you tell us which teams are paired to which on the list, as in which team (Team Y) would need to lose in order to keep Team X (one from the list) in the running for worst team?

Yes. Yes I can.

Arsenal

R6 Manchester United R5 Preston North End R4 Sheffield United R3 QPR [end of line]
Aston Villa
R6 West Brom R5 West Ham R4 Bristol City R3 Doncaster Rovers R2 Oldham R1 Leyton Orient [end of line]
Blackburn Rovers
R5 Stoke City R4 Rochdale R3 Nottingham Forest [end of line]
Bradford City
R5 Sunderland R4 Fulham R3 Wolves [end of line]
Liverpool
R5 Crystal Palace R4 Southampton R3 Ipswich [end of line]
Reading
R5 Derby County R4 Chesterfield R3 Scunthorpe R2 Worcester R1 Coventry City [end of line]

When a team wins, its own list drops off and is replaced by the team it beat and their list. So let's take the first 6th round replay as an example:

Bradford City

R5 Sunderland R4 Fulham R3 Wolves [end of line]
Reading
R5 Derby County R4 Chesterfield R3 Scunthorpe R2 Worcester R1 Coventry City [end of line]

If Bradford win that match their new list would look like this:
Bradford City

R6 Reading R5 Derby County R4 Chesterfield R3 Scunthorpe R2 Worcester R1 Coventry City [end of line]

Saving Wolves' blushes. If Reading wore to win, their new list would look like this:
Reading

R6 Bradford City R5 Sunderland R4 Fulham R3 Wolves [end of line]

Reading Bradford tonight, and here is a stat attack...

Reading beat Bradford 3-0 with two of their goals coming inside the first 10 minutes, but the game was overshadowed by racist chanting towards Garath Macleary and pitch invasions, Reading play Aston Villa in the semi final

No real idea when the other replay between Liverpool and Blackburn is, there's been quite a bit of talk about it..

Reading actually play Arsenal. That game is on the BBC and kicks off 10 minutes before Chelsea v Man Utd which is on Sky Sports. Great scheduling there.

Tomorrow night is the replay between Blackburn and Liverpool, and its quite possibly the best time to play Liverpool right now.

And i'm hoping to extend my record of seeing Rovers in the home end with a 100% record. 30,000+ sell-out apparently, first time in a few years...

0-0 with 20 minutes to play....

Better make that 0-1!, Coutinho just scored!

How did Mignolet save those shots from Conway, and how lucky was he from Eastwoods shot?

28,412 I think was attendance, highest for 5 years. We were rocking, and nearly no boos at the end. It was a hard fought game, Liverpool did deserve it but damn we put in a hell of a performance imo, and can be rightfully proud of ourselves

Reading v Arsenal and Aston Villa v Liverpool are our Semi Finals, take place in a couple of weeks..

Semi Final weekend this weekend, Reading v Arsenal tomorrow at 5.20pm on BBC and Aston Villa v Liverpool on Sunday at 3pm on BT, some controversy surrounding the scheduling of tomorrows game as it clashes with the Chelsea-Man United league game...

Villa 1-1 Liverpool HT, two cracking goals by Coutinho and Benteke, Villa the better team..

2-1 Villa!! another great goal, by Delph this time..

Massive Congratulations to Aston Villa!!!! 👍👍

So the worst team in the country this season will either be Wolves or Nottingham Forest :D

The final takes place between Arsenal and Aston Villa this Saturday, kick off at 5.30pm on BBC One and BT Sport....

Most excellent news for a long suffering Gooner fan to wake up to :D. Sanchez's goal was one for the highlight reel for sure....for all time FA cup comp goals! Absolute stunner for a final.

And that means that Nottingham Forest are this year's Worst FA Cup Team...

In round 3 they lost to Rochdale, who went on to lose in round 4 to Stoke, themselves losing in round 5 to Blackburn who lost to Liverpool in round 6. Liverpool were beaten by Villa in the semi-final and Villa lost the final to Arsenal.
