FIFA tried to cut the anthems to 1:30 minutes max. The teams got the opportunity to say "🤬 the rules!"

Can't believe what we have witnessed tonight, I'm speechless!

A few people did predict that this would be a tournament to far for Spain as they are older and it's pretty much the same squad as the last two tournaments, they have got it right so far!

Have to give Chile v Australia a miss as I'm in work at 8am tomorrow, goodnight people!

I can't believe I missed the Netherlands match... well, I actually can, since I actually respect professors enough not to walk out of class, even if it's boring and I will not be punished for doing so. :ouch:

Probably. But we were never under any illusions this time around. There were hard lessons to be learned from South Africa, when everyone expected us to do well, given our runaway success in Germany. We know we're the minnows, and we know that any group will be tough to get out of, not just Group B.

I tried to post World Cup videos on Youtube but the idiots at FIFA blocked all of them with in seconds of their publishing for "copyright grounds". Apparently they don't like exposure of the game, bunch of sleaze balls...

Like I said, we know it. We were never under illusions about it. The game is still very much in its infancy down here, even if David Villa is coming out for ten games with Melbourne City.

EDIT: Cahill just put a second one in, but was offside.
