Discovered last night that all of the folks at the bar I was at in Palermo (Sicily, Italy) were cheering for the Dutch. Silence when Spain scored, roars for each Netherlands goal. OK, probably cheering for Spain to lose, but fun nevertheless. Back there tonight for Italy v. England :D

On the news this morning they showed a Dutch reporter speaking to people wearing our nation's shirt, but most of them weren't Dutch! That's so awesome!!!

I could sense an early goal coming. Colombia look to be the far more aggressive side, and they're already a goal up after 6 minutes.

Quite the demoralizing spectacle, that said Colombia is pretty aggressive, unless Greece change it's formation I hardly see any opportunities of getting there.
 
Some good news for England ahead of their opener v Italy tonight, Buffon is out after turning his ankle in training last night which is of course is a big blow for them because not only is he a world class keeper he is also their captain, PSG keeper Sigiru is expected to be his replacement....

This game have been boring as hell. Good ten minutes but then had been downhill since. Fortunatly Greece wants to wake up after 40 minutes of the goal suffered. I'm hoping for a nicer 2nd half

Brilliant. One world class keeper is injured so is replaced by another world class keeper.

On the other hand England are unbeaten since their loss to Germany in the last world cup, that's 22 games. Italy haven't won a game in their last 7 matches.

A bit far from my expectations of 3 - 0, guess they lacked ambition.

Colombia demonstrating why they finished second behind Argentina in the qualifiers, good for them, I really wanted them to win.
 
Good performance by Colombia, all three South American teams have won at this tournament so far..

@Pagey279 its is a big blow for them because Buffon is their captain and I wouldn't class Sigiru as World class...

Either the entire Uruguay team are on steroids or they've made them shirts really really tight.

Good to see the whole team belting out the national anthem. Proud to play for your country, honored by the chance. NOW STUFF THEM COSTA RICA!!

I thought Birch screwed up again, but no. There was an actual penalty. 1-0 for Uruguay
 
I have a prediction. Greece will go home with 0 points. What a lame team that is. Way to many oldtimers.
