@Coxis that thread is a prediction game, this is the official thread

Can't argue against the result. Typical Croatia crashed and burned, and this proves as to why they never have replicated their best result, let alone progress into the round of 16 since then (funnily enough, if memory serves me correctly, Croatia needed a draw to progress to the 2nd round back in 2002, but lost...to Mexico)

Mexico clearly deserve to progress and go all the way. Just please do me a favour and beat the Netherlands, please...

I doubt Mexico will I just don't see it.

Netherlands will bring Mexico back down to earth.
They're the irresistible force, but Ochoa is not an inmovable object.

Please, if the Dutch play like they did against Australia (you know with completely arrogance, which is a possibility because they're playing Mexico), Mexico will give them a challenge...

If the Dutch play as they did against Australia they should be fine.
Because Australia played the games of their lives. Mexico might, or might not.

Arrogance? If there is one thing the Dutch have stopped using it is arrogance.
They just couldn't cope with the fighting spirit the Aussies were showing.

What the hell I have been posting in the wrong thread all this time!

Why are there two WC threads?

Congrats fellas! @Cano @MoLiEG @AHGH100 or whatever your name is.

 Where were you???

What a game!!! :D

Here come's the Netherlands!!!

One is to discuss the organization and stuff happening around it, this one is for crying and celebrating what happens in it

I was expecting a tie, not winning like that! :D

Yeah, just noticed. I just saw the thread title and thought it was the correct one. Sorry for spamming that other thread... :x

I usually don't listen to countrymen of the losing (or winning) team during game day...especially the losing side. Usually they're bitter and narrow viewed on what happened, while the winning side is a bit up in the clouds because they're country won...

Mexico will want to, since they have been beaten in the round of 16 for the past 4 world cups

Netherlands have been the crash wall of Mexico in past world cups. BUT! Mexico has never had so much chance of beating them than now. I have high hopes.

I'm sure the Netherlands has equal wants too :indiff:

This is what I mean about the head up in the clouds bit, I did it with my team beating Ghana, and premature yesterday against Portugal.

No-one is talking about Brazil-Chile then, Chile could surprise a few there!

They could well upset Brazil, but I think they are far too open at the back.

Although to be fair, Brazil have David Luiz.

One thing is sure. Netherlands vs Mexico should be a great game to watch.

And I hope Chile beats Brazil. Badly.

What is there to talk about? Brazil are doing a good job trying to make themselves look good at their World Cup and they'll push forward against Chile.

With this Dutch team? Not really.
In terms of the Mexican team, maybe.

@LMSCorvetteGT2 That'll it'll be a close game because Chile have impressed...

Nice show by Brazil, although Fred's goal was offside.

Mexico and Netherlands should be interesting, I reckon.

I'm sure it will be, I never said who I think will win it but Brazil will be hard to beat with this momentum. Also if people want to cling to the Spain win...I wouldn't. Spain never showed up and when they finally did it was far too late. Even if Spain didn't show up I doubt Australia would have won.

Yes, really. There have been way better Netherlands teams, and far worse Mexican teams, than the ones that'll clash in the next match. It won't be a walk in the park for neither of them.

I love that Mexican manager when he celebrates!:lol:

I'm saying it for what it is: Croatia crashed and burned and Mexico deserved it more (and if you asked me tomorrow, I would say the same thing).
I wish Mexico good luck and am vouching for them against the Dutch

if you think that's bitter by your standards, then there's nothing else I can say

I reckon they are fairly balanced. Thus game of the tournament.

I thought the Dutch team were susceptible as well...didn't stop them getting 9 points.
