But like I said, I wouldn't worry a lot. Brazil's amount of shots on goal really isn't as important as you think it is. If you are a good defender/goalkeeper and you do your job you could stop all of them, like Chile did.

They only scored "much" against Cameroon and Croatia, which weren't that good anyway.
 
No sympathy for Uruguay. Their performance has been rather lacking all tournament. As soon as they came up against opposition from another group, they came undone. Though they did put up more of a fight in the last 20 min.

As for Colombia, they should have a better chance of upsetting the hosts next Friday than Chile did. It's a very tempting prospect after seeing Rodriguez's effort tonight.

The first World Cup result I tried to predict and predicted it perfectly. :D

Still wasn't that hard to see this happen.

And while Man City have the money to do that, they're in trouble with UEFA for breaking FFP rules so I think he'll be staying in Monaco for the time being.

These last few pages have made for a good read though. However, at the end of the day, it doesn't matter how many shots you have, it's the score that matters.

It's true. However, what Famine is trying to say is that having more shots on goal, for any given team, is better than having less. Or at least that's what I think he is trying to say, and agree with it.

If my teams scores 1 out of 20 shots on goal, you can bet I will ask them to shoot their asses off. Some teams would rather shoot on goal when the time is right, like Barcelona a couple of years ago. Others take any chance they get to make a shot.



Also, am I the only one who loves Brazil's home kit with white shorts instead of blue ones?

And well, Brazil got away with it thanks to a lot of luck and a great performance by Julio César... Let's see if they have enough luck in the next round, because Colombia is extremely dangerous... This guy James Rodriguez is having a monster World Cup...

So todays matches, I think Holland will have too much for Mexico although It will be interesting to see Robben, Van Persie and Depay VS Ochoa!

In the other game will be close I think, Costa Rica have done brilliantly so far but fact that Greece aren't up against Italy or Uruguay will fire them up, this game is winnable for Greece...
 
I think Mexico will put on a decent match, but Netherlands will edge past them 2-1. Greece will also probably sneak through via a late goal.
 
I really hope Mexico wins today, I also want Costa Rica to win, but I think Greece it's an easier rival for the mexican team, If they win, of course ;)
 
I think/hope the Netherlands will win. Mexico's keeper is good, but the Netherlands has Robben, van Persie, Depay, Sneijder...
 
There will be two stoppages in the match for the players to take on water because its boiling there!...
 
This one's tough to predict.
 
A win for us would be historic, we haven't advanced to quarter finals since 1986. If we were to win there would probably be riots and stuff in the streets. :lol:
