You raise some good points Tati, I'd agree with a lot of the statements, especially the fact that the videos are quite difficult to understand. We're limited somewhat to the tech we've got, we're starting to work on voice-overs, however we're limited at the moment by time and manpower. We'll have a review of the naming etc. though, thanks for the feedback.

I know this is a late call but in 10 mins (22:00 GMT) there will be a 2h test race if anyone is up for it?
 
That would be now in other words? I think I'll have to pass.. this damned school work is killing me. ;)

There are 3 lobbies Joe, You pick who from your team drives in which lobby, all lobbies are run simultaneously

It looks like I'll have to wait until 2015 @Phouchg @memto89 to enter the 24hr. I couldn't couldn't find two or three of drivers to team up with in the Tri-State area. I'm hoping the Untied Motorsports Club will offer some team mates in the area or I'll have to travel to Canada to drive with @Nish and @GTP_Cobra949 in they're willing.

Just a bit of housekeeping. For the new guys, when you list your drivers against the various Lounges please detail

[Driver name PSN] - [Abbreviated Team Name] - [Team Car Make/Model].

Also to ensure admission into your lounge, please could all drivers 'PSN Friend' all other Drivers in their Lounge as soon as possible if not already done. DO NOT LEAVE THIS TASK UNTIL RACEDAY

We haven't got designated lobby Hosts yet so having all is safer, plus these are all guys you'll be racing and practising with quite a bit between now and February so it's a good thing to do.....
 
Yeah like I said I don't mind having these guys as friends but, just seemed a bit excessive to have everyone add everyone. :P But I'll do it sometime today then. :)

Yes this 'Friend everyone' approach is the easiest for the VLN and any other practices leading up to the race GTPN24. But for the actual race in Feb, we'll be advising a very different 'Friending' policy.

As regular followers to this thread and the GTPN24 FB page will know, for the main race in February the plan is for each team to create a 'team' PSN ID for use in the race (e.g. we have already created 'Team_Motion_Blur' ready for GT6). For this team account, we are advising that you restrict THAT account to ONLY Friend the other 'team name' accounts in the race, plus the designated race steward accounts.

That will ensure that ONLY PSN accounts in that very elite group of shared team name accounts will be able to enter the main race lobby during the race, plus any external 'log in/log off/message' notifications will not bother drivers during the actual race because all of that accounts 'Friends' are already occupied and racing with you.

But the main benefit of the team name ID is that the race will be a whole lot easier follow for everyone with all of the team cars correctly labelled (on Timing Screens, and driver HUD's) as the proper team name as opposed to one random drivers name.

Here is a reminder of the PSN ID's we suggest that conform to the 16 character limit

There is no rush to get this done, but we would suggest that you do it soon after the release of GT6 once you know which of the (yet to be confirmed) GT6 cars will be on the list for use later in VLN and for GTPN24 in February

EDIT: Just noticed I miss-spelt RESTELHO in the team name grid. Guys....you know what I meant :)

Or the host can make a new profile, friend all required PSN ID's for the race,
 
I would like mention that driver Greenhousefx from Restolho Team remains unconfirmed until Friday.

The other 2 drivers ( Lordz1978 and Romisagon) already confirm.

And just to confirm and for the benefit of the teams that didn't race in this multi lobby format in the previous Car Selection Series (CSS), the TEAM RESULT will be based on the time totals of each teams 3 drivers results, with the fastest total time taking the overall win. If a driver disconnects, or does not start, then his/her team will be unable to complete the total race distance, (in this case 22+22+22 = 66 team laps) and therefore that team result will be calculated as a 'completed laps' total (i.e 44 laps etc).

Although not getting all three drivers to the chequered flag is likely to make an overall team victory very unlikely, it'll still be great practise and fun to participate in the individual lobbies, and a chance for the debutantes to prove their racecraft and strategies in preparation for the GTPN24 in Feb.
