Not a complaint but, sometimes I feel weight savings could be a bit more. Is this going to be a high volume produced car? if not and only a lucky few thousand will get one, a carbon roof, boot lid and bonnet would be nice if that hasn't been done yet.
Yeah but then that adds much more to the price of making it compared to just removing what is already there.

Wouldn't mind if they made a Super Low production Mustang Track based version with no consideration of Cost.

Give it Carbon doors, no insulation, plastic Windows etc.

But this is what I miss about the 1980's(here goes an old man remeniscing). Choosing an '87 LX Mustang and ticking the 5.0 upgrade. Leaves off the body kit, GT wing, turbine wheels, Lear-Siegler buckets. Keeps the roll down window winders and 4 speaker AM radio. Delete A/C(If I remembered correctly). Plus choose a 3.73 or 3.55 final drive.

How good would an Ecoboost or GT be just by deleting the A/C, stereo, back seats, add sticky tyres, light weight wheels, competition suspension and no buttons on the steering wheel?

First GT350 prototype spotted on the road without badges,

Looks. So. Damn. Mean.

Imagine you're being shot at.

a black GT350 slides towards you, the window rolls down with the Terminator saying "come with me if you want to live".

I can picture that happening, yes. And it would be pretty hardcore and badass.

Also, it would work perfectly as a new KITT. Call me silly if you want, but it would be pretty darn amazing to see a GT350 fitted with machine guns and rockets...

I always have picture this story in my head where a wheelman uses Ford vehicles for his work and in the climax of the story, his vehicle of choice is this mustang. Seeing the Shelby GT350 running away from cops while doing pretty badass maneuvers would be awesome.

Hmm... I could picture a "Gone in 60 Seconds" remake with a new GT350 (or a new GT500) as the Eleanor. That would be quite a sight.

All the grands Shelby brand value, baby.

Fixed that for you.

But yes, you have to pay the extra buck for that pure, unaldulterated Shelby spirit. Buying a Mustang tells people "Hey, I got the money." Buying a Shelby Mustang tells people "Hey, I just got a promotion, so I tricked out my Mustang to prove it."
