At least a tach on the bonnet makes sense as it keeps your eyes up. Ford obviously think its customers are too dumb to remember which indicator they were using 2 seconds ago and that they'll crash if they look down for a second to check.

Apparently this feature was requested by "enthusiasts". Go figure.

Pretty much. And as it's now a standard feature on the GT models, hopefully there's an option to remove them.
I hope so. They started off with such a nice car, but if they start adding tacky details like this they're going to lose the young buyers very quickly.

Well, young buyers can get the Ecoboost or V6 instead as this "feature" plagues the GT only..

2016 GT models will have hood mounted turn signal indicators standard.

One of the strangest features I have seen in a long time. :odd:
I could see a lot of people black plastic dipping or blacking out those for sure. Especially if they come standard.

I guess it should help prevent people from leaving their turn signals on.

Hood mounted tachometers and turn signals are features from Mustangs back in the 60s. Not surprised they brought it back.

Here's one with a hood tach. Certain scoops had indicators.

I think it's great to shove the blinking light in front of the driver as I see so many people leaving their turn signals on because they forgot to turn them off.

So you going to change lanes or not? Yes? No? Oh you just forgot to turn your signals off.

Drives me insane.

Does that really happen that often where you live? I've seen that maybe once in my life, and I don't think the person was driving a V8 Mustang. Still seems like a silly addition to me, but I suppose if people really are that stupid...

Mine gets stuck on me but because if a bad alignment. It happens often

Know what? Good for Ford. That is how things were back then. Introducing minute trims and features almost mid year and each year. I hope Ford continue to change up the Mustang. It keeps the car fresh. Doesn't make each car the same.
It's good to find someone order a special color with whatever factory alloys and there aren't many like it on the road. Just like the bonnet tach option.
How many Foxbody 5.0(4.9L) manual sedans are there? How many with the Lier Siegler buckets? How many in Titanium metallic?
Things are looking good for this model. Those that are buying one, have fun.

I wish I was able to say that that's not the case, but I see someone forgetting to turn their signals off less than once per day but more than once per week.

And next they will add another special edition that will have hood shape that allows hem to be seen..

LoL

Due to the shape/curve/slope of the hood on the new Mustang, the turn signals aren't even visible from the driver's seat when in the normal driving position.

Did Ford even test this feature before sending out to the market? Now it has become even more useless (and only works as a nostalgia tool for those who thrive on it), since goddamm Fox News points out that they are out of the driver's sight...

I heard the 6 cyl version of these last night take of down the drag strip. For one, its exhaust note isn't too far off the Ecoboost and for two, holy hell is it loud!! When he got on it (stock idle is quiet) it screamed louder than a new Camaro SS. Wow. I did not expect that.
