Lots of oil dry on the track. Must have been a mechanical failure in one of the support races this morning, and they did a terrible job of cleaning it up.

It's supposed to be blown or brushed off the track once the oil is absorbed.
 
So after the cracking US GP we're back to same old same old with this race so far it seems. Not much happening and Merc are in the distance. Let's hope they give us a race at some point in the next 40 laps.

Several laps ago ESPN momentarily thought both Massa and Vettel were Mercedes drivers. In their dreams! :lol:

Speaking of the Mercedes drivers they've both pitted, and it's back to the status quo. So it's going to come down to how can look after their tyres the best.
 
I think conditions are making it worse honestly, and the surface is still probably green.

How was Alonso's car disabled again? I missed it. They kept replaying Vettel's close encounter with Ricciardo in the beginning.

DRS passes mostly though, which are not particularly interesting when they're past before they even get to the corner.

Overtaking now is on a massive downward trend, numerically. It's now fallen below 1990s levels. I think this race will have more overtakes than Singapore (16) but it's hardly setting the sport alight.
