I think I'd rather see the team stay as Force India.
Maybe adopt the Aston Martin name like Red Bull did with Infiniti,
You have a point there but name rebranding / selling already happen'd with other teams. British American Racing bought Tyrell structure in 1999, became Honda F1 Racing in 2006, Brown GP in 2009 and lastly Mercedes GP in 2010.I think I'd rather see the team stay as Force India. Maybe adopt the Aston Martin name like Red Bull did with Infiniti, but not a complete re-branding. To my mind, Force India really embody the spirit of the privateer that we haven't really seen since Minardi. They're the ones who are most likely to try something different with their strategy, they're the ones who punch above their weight the most consistently, and of all the midfield teams, they seem to be the ones who put the most stock in driver ability. Compared to that, you've got Williams, who are pretty boring; Sauber, who have been mired in a messy history; Lotus, who have struggled with mismanagement, poor finances and the absurd and cynical marketing row over their name; and Red Bull and Toro Rosso, who are an extension of a global empire.
Aston Martin might be a nice name to have on the grid, but they aren't essential to the sport. It's not some great injustice that they are absent, and I would much prefer a revival of Minardi or Brabham. Their history is pretty limited, and I don't think that completely rebadging a team like Force India is really worth it. I would rather a team have their own name and their own history, rather than appropriate somebody else's for the sake of a marketing boost.
Also, a blue and gold livery? Come on, guys, show some originality - Red Bull, Toro Rosso and Sauber all have variations on that theme.
Kinda sucks.Force India Aston Martin Mercedes.

What is RedBull Racing today has been Jaguar Racing from 2000 to 2004 and Stewart Grand Prix from 1997 to 1999.
But all the Fly Emirates logos form a question mark...so should you Fly Emirates? The slow stadium section is as much for advertising exposure as it is for the benefit of fans. I mean, Fly Emirates, right?

But all the Fly Emirates logos form a question mark...so should you Fly Emirates?
What issue did Kimi have in FP3?
This is why I hate all the Tilke designs, lets take a track with nice sweeping corners and replace them with hard angled corners for absolutely no reason. The stadium section isn't particularly offensive to me since I can actually understand that part of the design, it's the other parts of the track I just don't understand.
Take a look at these two videos, the '89 layout and the 2015 layout
Why on earth did they need to square off almost every corner on the circuit?
These tracks suck for racing because the layout itself is counter productive, how can you be expected to hold it on the outside of a corner where the apex literally stands out like a mountain and the corner has no banking?
If you must re-profile an old circuit why not at least progressively camber the corner and give them smooth radii? That way a car can hold the outside line because there's more grip out there and hence exit the corner at the same speed as the car running the 'faster' geometrical line. The way these current circuits are the only line is the geometrical one and because the apex is defined by the track it's not possible to try different lines because they simply wont work (hairpins aside).
Edit: Before anyone tries to pick holes in my comment about the apex it's pretty obvious what I mean. A corner with a triangular point on it has a clearly defined 'apex', a corner which has a rounded traditional inside edge, as in, an arc has what can be described as an 'apex' but nothing prevents you running around the arc if you like, something which isn't possible with the triangular shaped corners.
225 yesterday.Leigh Diffey said that they were hitting 250mph on the straights. If that is true, Indycar no longer has the fastest drivers in the world![]()
But all the Fly Emirates logos form a question mark...so should you Fly Emirates?
Okay then Diffey was spreading false information or just cant "math". The highest speed apparently was 360k/ph or 223-225mph.225 yesterday.![]()
Depends on if you like supporting a Middle Eastern airline, and if connecting in Dubai is actually convenient to your travel plans.
Haha that's a good point about Emirates.Depends on if you like supporting a Middle Eastern airline, and if connecting in Dubai is actually convenient to your travel plans.
Their marketing strategy is unique in this day and age, as they're planning a decade ahead (when they can buy a berth in every major airport, thanks to their cheap oil).
Still, this "Official ____ of F1" advertising makes the circuits even more visually repetitive. It's not as if Mexico doesn't have her own airlines.
Not all Emirates flights go to/through Dubai, despite that being (obviously) their main destination.
I just can't stand how the cameramen are obsessed with focusing on the said sponsors (always beginning and ending a shot with a brand being the primary focus)Haha that's a good point about Emirates.
I agree about the official bs of F1. It gets old and repetitive. At least F1 hasn't reached NASCAR levels of branding...yet.
Hopefully it's because the circuit is still not 100% finished, but I hope that by next year they had even more Mexico themed colours around the track. All the run offs, walls, the stadium itself. It would look great.
I don't think its that the camera men are obsessedI just can't stand how the cameramen are obsessed with focusing on the said sponsors (always beginning and ending a shot with a brand being the primary focus) and the stupid Bernie messages (Bernie Says: Think before you drive) superimposed on stuff, it's cringy as hell and it's like the big brother messages from 1984.
And if I'm honest, I'd rather the advertising be done that way, with the camera work, as opposed to hearing the announcers constantly repeat stupid 🤬 over and over. "Let's check the Depends replay. Yup, he's full of Sunoco fuel, so he locked up the Pirelli tires in the Stoptech brakezone." That 🤬 makes me want to shoot myself in the face.
