Both Force Indias in QP3

Rosberg almost certainly hasn't had a proper lap there. On his first lap, the one which had his quickest time, he clearly was backing off into the chicane, I thought he was going into the pits! God knows what he did on his second lap that he lost so much time in S1.

Shame, wanted to see a closer duel for pole and I feel like they were bang on even around this track.

Ugh. I hope that the qualification times do not represent how the race will go tomorrow.

Little to no chance of rain predicted.

Vettel coming from the back should be interesting. And hopefully Nasr will once again open his DRS while doing his tyre-warming weave. That gave a bit of excitement in FP3. I don't hope to see him crash of course, just a spin this time :D

I didn't get to see much of FP3, I was on stage in a pub and could only see the F1 on a TV on the other side of the bar. Why was Hamilton last in the standings, tech problems?

Thanks, @Peasantslayer.

I also just noticed that Vettel starts 21st, I saw him quali 16th with MGU-H problem but he's had a 5-place grid penalty added for overtaking Merhi under reds after Button had stopped on track. Watching that Ferrari come through the pack might be the highlight of the day.

So, I'll probably not brave the small hours to watch this race, so I'll probably end up recording it and watching it in the morning. Haven't actually watched any of the sessions live this round.

Hopefully it's a good race with Vettel and Massa coming from the back and Kimi finally close enough to challenge the Mercs.

5-2 record is looking a bit convincing already, but I still think they are close overall.

It's the best rookie pairing I have seen in last 10 years for sure, the first STR Pairing where both are showing elite talent off the bat.

Alot of people where writing off Sainz by his F3/GP3 form but I feel he had some hard talking to in the offseason of "13/14 and got back to his F2.0 Form and dominated F3.5 with pure speed that no one could match and that has form has came into F1.

So, one thing to take out of this round so far is that Daniel Ricciardo can look quite dejected;

It's like seeing a bunny rabbit be sad. (Really 🤬 example, but you get my point)

It would also make a great Caption Game pic... *wink, wink, nudge, nudge*

Max has looked quicker in the races though hasn't he? It's hard to say with them having so many problems with their cars.

and the fact that Sainz doesn't look like the kind of person who spergs out and blames the other driver whenever he's involved in a crash with someone else

>crash into Grosjean in Monaco 2015
>"THE GUY BRAKE-CHECKED ME I SWEAR"

Not really, China I would say so, but in Monaco for example Sainz had to start in the pitlane due to missing the weigh bridge but he had out qualified Verstappen.

In Spain He had Out qualified and Outraced Verstappen including passing him and the second Redbull.

The difference is the age issue and the fact the Dutch over praising as of current that makes it seem otherwise.

You clearly don't understand Aspergers, do some research.

Incredibly I agree with you :D Sainz (yesterday's DRS crash aside) has shown himself to be a better all-rounder I think. However, Verstappen does show flashes of brilliance... I think in the long term he might make a better Grand Prix racer. He just isn't one right now, imo.

Unsure on long term potential as of yet as Both are really young (keep in mind Sainz is only 20 which is 2 years younger then Hamiltons first season).

Verstappens performance is very special as well considering his age, but there is no basis to compare to and just because you can perform at an F1 level at a very young age doesn't mean you can stay in the top level(See Alguersuari) it's still a very large development road ahead, and given Verstappens lack of experience in cars may hit growing pains that Sainz may have encountered years ago.

Should be an interesting race with the likes of Vettel and Verstappen making their way from the back of the grid...
