Bad start of the night for Massa.

Rosberg's is almost as bad. Kimi has him covered. ;)
 
Naughty naughty from Nico. Makes it through, anyway.

EDIT:

Nico on a blinder. Fastest of the top four at this point, and it seems like he'll be able to take Vettel on track.

EDIT2:

Takes Vettel in the exact same spot he did Kimi. Boxes him out on that very sharp first corner.

No way to defend on the inside of that without compromising your exit way too much. And once the man behind has his nose up beside yours at the apex, you have to cede the corner.

Seems like the Mercs have a big advantage under braking into that corner. As seen in replays of qualifying... where Lewisd could brake much later into it than the Ferrari boys.

Maldonado set the fastest lap?
Someone check fuel flow on his car or if he took a shortcut some where.
 
Here we go! Vettel attempting an undercut on Rosberg.

Just wonder if he can get better life out of these than the last set... seems like he suffered the most degradation of the top four over that first stint.

EDIT:

Maldonado had fastest lap because he's on the freshest tires. Seems like "Primes" are the way to go for the middle stint.

Double EDIT:

Nico pits first... unusually... to try to defend the undercut... and...

Vettel has him. Too bad. :p
 
Holy ****.

That was some pants-soiling stuff there between Rosberg and Vettel.

Now Rosberg is up Hamilton's pipes, and Vettel is right in the mix.

Very slow stop for Hamilton... 3.7 stationary... but still those two came up behind him so fast, it shows how badly the tires have degraded, over the past fifteen laps.... those outlaps are incredible!

Ferrari's pitstops are a thing of beauty... 2.5 seconds stationary for Kimi. Merc... so slow... seems like a sticking wheel nut for Hamilton in the replays.

They can make the exit more narrow, if hamilton was delayed by a .2s or so Rosburg and Vettel could have collided into the back of him.
While their pro drivers, you can only react so fast at 300km/h and you suddenly see some in front of you
 
Really noticing the sparks in this race, and they look awesome. Now to just make the cars wider, improve the power and noise, implement shouty flame spitting exhausts, reduce downforce, re-balance the prize and appearance moneys to be more communistical, paint the run-off concrete green or sand coloured, implement a common survival cell to reduce costs, get rid of those high air intakes and we are all :cheers::cheers:

Titanium costs about $5.50 per KG
Titanium plates would be 5kg at most so each time they spark, it is costing the team 2 cups of coffee by the end of the race

Cue post-race conference statement from Nico: "STOP BACKING INTO ME."

Kimi is consistently lapping faster than the top three on the harder tires. Podium for the Iceman on a late race prime tire blitz? Hmmm.
 
Biggest victims here pace wise is easily Torro Rosso, they are pretty much the 2nd slowest team here.

And a bad pitstop loses him the place! Damnit!

EDIT:

Vettel looking shaky on those tires. Raikkonen is maintaining pace. Could be a podium for the Iceman.

Might even be a second place, if Nico continues to have trouble.
