Interesting to hear, that would make them an unofficial third Penske car if that happens.

Also after reading the comments, I'm beginning to think I may have found where all the idiotic NASCAR.com fans went.

That worked out great. Didn't happened during a race or before, it happened between the All-Star Race and the 600.

I believe that now makes (for the first time) all of Gibb's Cup drivers dads.

So, I'm about a week late to the whole Chase Waiver controversy, but here is my two cents on the matter-
Would you rather bascially all but force a driver to rush back to their car with injury or concussion and further risk their career? I remember Jimmy Spencer talking once about how Dale Jr. drove with a concussion in like 2002-2003, because he couldn't just take like a week or two off to let it heal. Do you really want drivers to do that now? Of the four cases NASCAR has granted a waiver, all are legitimate. Stewart granted wasn't physically hurt but it was obvious he couldn't compete after, purposely or not, running over a 20 yeal old. Kurt also wasn't physically hurt, but it would not of been right to ruin his year in March because of Patrica.
Hamlin and Larson also missed races but didn't need a waiver as they already qualified. Imagine if both just started like they probably would of a few years ago. Hamlin may be blind and Larson could of passed out again due to dehydration. I'd rather allow great drivers to take time off for legitimate reasons instead of forcing them back and risking harm to themselves and other competitors.

I feel real nooby.. I'm British, interested in NASCAR but don't know an awful lot... If I had to pick 2 drivers, it would have to be Montoya and Gordon. Sorry if you don't want new people on here, but I kinda wanna know a lot more about NASCAR, and what a good place to learn...

Welcome buddy. Unfortunately, you won't find Montoya here as he's moved on to Indycar for Roger Penske (though there is the possibility that he could be back for the Road Courses and Indy, Provided schedules don't clash). As for Gordon, this is his final full season.

If you were looking for a guy to root for, Chase Elliott is going to be replacing Gordon and he's being touted as like the next big thing.
If not the best way is to watch a couple of races and if anyone stands out, there you go.

Have been keeping an eye on Chase Elliott and was rooting for him in the Nationwide and pleased when he won it. I was a great admirer of his dad Bill. When J. Gordon said he was retiring my first thought was Chase so I'll just change the name on my number 24 T-shirts.

It's hard to watch in the UK too, because of time zones..

I can imagine. NASCAR started uploading full races last season to youtube a few days after the event was held so you could watch it on your own time. This season so far they are as well but not uploading them for 2 weeks to a month after the event.

If I'm not mistaken they upload to YouTube the day or two after the following race.

Like they uploaded the Talladega race right after the SB400.

I went to the Fontana race and didn't see it uploaded for quite a while. I think it depends on the race. I just noticed they uploaded the Kansas race 2 days ago.

Pretty much, although it's hard to avoid spoilers when the race winner is plastered everywhere else if you're subscribed to that kind of stuff  Part of me wishes, however, that they uploaded the broadcasted version and not the broadcasted version with spaces where the ads would go, but that's just me so I'd imagine there'd be people who enjoy the full uncut versions.

Seriously. I go on nascar.com like 10 times a day and don't have the self control to not look at the results. I don't have cable anymore and just internet so I stream the races and I have the NASCAR mobile app. The delay on the driver audio is off from 15-30 seconds and kind of annoying but you can thank Robby Gordon for the delay when he called Michael Waltrip a POS on live TV.

Can I ask for the channel name of the NASCAR?

I have the Premier channel which shows all races live with no adverts, the draw back is rain delays. Premier do not adjust their viewing schedule so when recording it will stop rather than over run into next programme slot even though they still show the race.
There has been a few rain delays lately so have been staying up to 8 in the morning.

Jeff Gordon confirmed to join the FOX Sports NASCAR broadcast booth in 2016.
