I'm still astounded at how Jeff Burton speaks so clearly compared to Ward...

I remember they used to mess with him about that.

Track dryers don't think they'll have the track dry before 12:30am Eastern.

I'm writing another nasty email to Florida's chamber of commerce about their state motto.

"Florida, Home of everyone's retired grandparents"
"Florida, we have no state income tax, but YOU MUST PAY THE TOLLS!"
"Florida, G***AMN IT'S HOT DOWN HERE!"
"Florida, where it's never safe between May and October"
"Florida, where if you don't like the weather, just wait 5 minutes"

I could just stick with "Florida: God's waiting room"

Well, race won't roll til 11 and likely won't end till 2:30 or 3:00AM. See NASCAR, you should not have cowtowed and screwed up the date.

Florida: The Sunshine State (When it's not raining)
As someone who went there a few summers ago, This is So true.

Amen to that.

At this point, I'd rather they just postpone until tomorrow midday...

If they can run the race for the all of the fans that waited at the track, they should do it. Postponing now would be a terrible move.

I love this, the last NBC Pepsi 400 was the one Stewart dominated that didn't start till 11, and now their first race under the new contract is shaping up to be the same
Didn't that one end at 2:00AM or so?

EDIT: Its 11:00PM and the drivers are heading to their cars. Guess NBC called it. Now to settle in and enjoy the Le Mans-like sleep deprivation and carnage

NBC on air said 1:41 AM, so it wasn't that late, but I remember it being later because I was 7 (You bet I stayed up that late to watch it )

I stayed up later because I was celebrating Stewart's win! :)

I watched the whole thing on vacation and I don't remember getting to sleep till 2 or so.

Get the beer back out!
And the 5-Hour Energy/Monster/Red bull/Rockstar/ late night coffee. Its gonna be a long one. Fortunately I can just coast on Battlebots hype

I totally believe that Blake Shelton was there in pit road

I just googled Avicii...

...that's how you lose ratings...

Ah, I remember that race. I was 10 and on a family vacation.

Should've used this for the theme

To keep everyone entertained, I've brought a clip.
