It ripped the engine and transmission out as a complete unit. That and the fence being completely obliterated are a sign of how hard the car hit the fence.
Can Nascar have predicted thatKudos to NASCAR on the safety of those cars. Now they need to work on how to make the fans by the catch fences safer. That was a lot of debris that flew into the stands
Enough of the trends, sorry, but...My trends show that NASCAR has come an incredibly long way.
The biggest problems with these wrecks by the fences are the debris that flies into the stands. It's a reoccurring issue. They have done a fabulous job with the car safety. I'm sure they can come up with ways to keep the fans safer from the debris that comes from the carsCan Nascar have predicted that
