Just looking at the reflections on the pavement, I find it hard to believe that NASCAR's going to get the track back quickly. If they do, it'll be early morning, but that place looks pretty wet...
 
Guys, it's past halfway, the rule has always been once it's halfway it's an official race. If you complain about NASCAR being inconsistent, then you can't want them to be inconsistent
 
Half of me wants to see this thing called so Dale can win it. The other half wants to see it keep going to the finish since I've been looking forward to this race for a few weeks.

Because if NASCAR is chasing ratings and/or fan happiness, having the race go further will lose both. If this were Saturday night it's one thing, but it's a Sunday night into a normal Monday so having this race go well past midnight on the east coast is a bad idea.

Gordon, Harvick, Kyle Busch, Truex Jr. advance.
Kurt Busch, Edwards, Logano, Keselowski eliminated.

I really feel bad for Logano. I know a lot of people don't care for him, but he really did well this season. I really feel like he deserved to make it in. But, I'm glad Truex made it in.
 
The cheers gave it away during Edward's interview. What a lame day. I'm glad Logano is out but this isn't the way it's supposed to play out. We'll never know what would have really happened.
 
Well saw that coming given how everything puddled up real fast.

Guess I just will have to rely on the 18, the 24 and the 78 to stop the 4. Would've preferred the 41 instead of the 4, but nobody can reason with Nature so whatever.
 
Sucks to see the race called. Despite not liking the format, I'm happy with who he last 4 are. Pulling for Truex first, Gordon as my backup. I don't want to see Harvick win, but I like that the defending champion is in the fight in the final round. Kyle Busch is usually good for some sound bites, so whatever.
 
Before someone brings up Daytona this year, that race didn't actually start until around now time wise (I don't remember the exact time)

Would have liked to have seen the restart after that caution. 99% sure that would have made the final four within ten laps of racing.

Wished Carl was in, but Truex has had a great year. Practicly yelling at midnight that Kyle made it. Who would have thought that he has a shot after that crash at Daytona.

In reality, I'll take anybody over the #4. And whoever posted about Penske not making it, I can't like that post enough.

All that being said, this format still sucks.

i kind of hope homestead gets called just after halfway so nascar will be forced to change this joke of a chase format

rooting for gordon and truex.

harvick downright cheated his way into the round of 8. and it just does't feel right that kyle can miss half the season and still win the championship
