What? NFLing it?
They gave Ray Rice a 2 game suspension, but everyone freaked out so he overreacted and basically blacklisted him. I'd rather NASCAR be consistently below average than inconsistently between terrible and average

Well that was just Goodell being Goodell, Mike could still do the same (in fact, they did with Matt).

The fans are almost as strong as the NFLPA, so you really can't complain because both are the same. Except, millions more care about select teams rather than a few drivers.

I saw that earlier today. It was going for $60 when I last saw it. Based off of the bids, it seems like someone make a huge profit off of that (and probably had nothing better to do to make that).

I used to watch all the races. Then it became whoever has the most money and can get away with the most cheating wins. And now its basically "sports entertainment". BTW its very ironic that the final 4 of NASCAR and the final 4 for the WWE championship are the same day. France ran it into the ground with gimmicks to the point that it has become irrelevant. And with Gordon gone, who does NASCAR have to carry the flag? Nobody likes the Busch brothers. Harvick is a cheat. And Logano wins, but the public cant stand him.

The same guy that's been carrying it for the past 15 years or so, you might have heard of his father. And there's this new kid that'll replace Gordon, you might also have heard of his father.
Also, people will warm up to Jimmie Johnson just like they did Gordon.

Junior is 41. And he has said in the past he wont be doing this much longer. As for Chase Elliott, he will disgarce the #24 much like silver spoon Dillon disgraces the #3 on a weekly basis

I actually thought Kyle Larson was gonna be that guy. But he suffered through a sophomore slump. I still think he has the most talent of anyone under 25. As for Chase's daddy, not really impressed by a guy who earned most of his wins in an era where there were maybe 10 competitive cars each week. He won maybe 5 times in the last 20 years of his career. He was another guy just like DW who stayed way beyond his welcome. Chase will maybe get the #24 a couple top 10s, and thats just based on being in a HMS car. Hell, Casey Mears and Joe Nemechek won races for HMS and those guys are bottom of the barrel drivers

25 bids. This proves the intellect of your typical NASCAR fanboy. Somebody spent $20 on some toys, broke them and now some dummy is gonna pay a bunch of money for it. How dumb can people really be?

Man... Why do you need to come in here and be so negative?

Why is it that every damn year, there just has to be that one pain-in-the-ass guy that shows up in this thread?

Seriously, why do you even post here if you hate NASCAR so much? What use do you have here if all its for is just to bellyache the hell out of it all the time?

Some people just want to spread their hate onto everybody else.

To be honest, I believe this certain user is on his 3rd account on GTP. The previous two had the same anti-NASCAR rants on nearly every post he made.

Its not being negative. Its just stating facts. Attendance is down. TV ratings are down. There really is nobody to rally behind now that Jeff Gordon has retired. Yes there is Junior. But how many more years will he have left? To his credit, he has said that he wont race when he thinks he cant be competitive. Thats something Bill Elliott and DW didnt do. Or worse yet, invent the "start n park" movement like Nemechek did. All of the media problems can be traced back to France running NASCAR in such a way that the old school fans stopped watching. Like I said before, I used to watch entire races but now ESPN highlights are good enough for me. And millions of others feel the same way, and my proof is in the TV ratings. As for attendance, NASCAR themselves refuse to list figures because they see the empty seats. So the writing is on the wall, get a change at the top or NASCAR wont be around much longer

You know, there's a lot of people like you that "predict" the end of anything from NASCAR, to F1, to IndyCar. Hell, even WRC has it. But for decades, they've done a hell of a good job making fools of all of them. "NASCAR won't be around much longer." Really? Your crystal ball that good at predicting the economic future of the biggest racing organization in North America? Please, give your 5 brain cells a rest and stop being so negative. Yeah, NASCAR's not exactly "talent based" anymore. We get it, and we don't need your text billboards to remind us of it. Can you go the next 3 days without making us laugh at you for the stuff you say. Please? Much appreciated.

As Angel said, NASCAR will pretty always be around. From outsider looking in, (Australian, NASCAR is only on pay TV here so i only go by the Internet) NASCAR is still an enormous force in world Motorsport and will be until Motorsport dies. If such a large organisation is going down, I'm sure there would've far more go down before it

For NASCAR to go down, literally every other racing series from IndyCar, to USCC, all the way to NHRA would have to belly up too. I don't see that happening when two of them have actually been growing.

In case you haven't noticed, all motorsports are experiencing a downtrend. INDY has one big event that people actually seem to care about. The NHRA is a total joke. And USCC is so irrelevant that I couldnt even comment about a pointless racing group I know nothing about. But this is a NASCAR thread and I forgot more than you will ever know Angel

Every NHRA event I've been to has packed the stands.

Admittedly not much else happens near Norwalk

You forgot more than I'll ever know? Funny, since it seems you don't know too awful much. At least I'm not a bigoted armchair protester. With that said, back on course shall we before I laugh too hard.

You are proving the statement "You cant fix stupid" correct. Have a good night buddy. Its 2am here, and seeing you've been posting your garbage here all night, its probably safe to say you don't have a job to go to in the morning
