Yeah but Roush was the most recent team to pull that off. So the most times its been is two and its happened twice. Not quite ready to confirm illuminati yet, but its damn close.

I know I posted it a year or two ago, but again, this reminds me so much of Robert Yates Racing. They haven't quite stooped down to the Kvapil/Gilliland level (no offense to them) yet, but they're slowly but surely becoming more and more uncompetitive. It's always sad to see teams that were good in the past die a slow death, but it inevitably happens at some point for every team.

Usually I don't like Greg Buffle, but I actually kinda feel bad to hear him say that. It just exudes Defeat to me. As much as I've said Roush has no chance, even I wasn't at the point of putting them that way. Very sad.

A few years ago, Carl Edwards lost the series championship to a tiebreaker. Make me wonder whether Roush's downward slide could be pinpointed to that very moment.
 
Teams come and go. Jack has been in this series for quite a long time now. I wonder how much control he has over the team.

Myself and @kogunenjou have been discussing this in a chat.

Also, Chris Buescher, in his debut, is currently 22nd and ahead of all of his actual Roush teammates, even though he's in "worse" equipment.
 
I'm really surprised Edwards hasn't been doing better. In their first seasons at Joe Gibbs, Hamlin, Kyle and Kenseth all had really good runs. Edwards almost seems worse than he was at Roush right now.
 
Carl has struggled all weekend, and until Ragan spun, he was doing pretty solid.
