The problem I see with the fastest 43 is there is nothing stopping or minimizing the "go and go home" guys from investing everything they have for 1 flat out lap, and I think the "go then go home" guys are pathetic, clearly just there to make money, that needs to stop,

Isn't there a dual race happening sometime in the next 24 hours?
Thing is: the only reason there is a go or go home group is because of owner points. If NASCAR eliminated owner points, everyone would be go or go home every week. I think a single lap at Daytona or Talladega is stupid because that lap is so much different than being in a pack. Like you were saying, the go or go home group could put everything into a qualifying package and be way the hell off pace in the race making it a crappy race. That's why I'm for either the duals or group qualifying only

The good thing at this point is that the start and park teams are no longer start and park teams. There wasn't much start and park happening last season.

The only guaranteed spot in the race I would make would be the current defending series champion.

Edit: Darrell Wallace Jr's new ride for this year.

Xfinity cars use the same bodies, so they're gonna look similar.

Not entirely. Similar profile around the pillers, but the front ends are different.

To do homework or to watch the Gatorade Duels. I should finish my homework, but I already know that that won't happen.

I just can't get over this new lugnut thing. I keep getting this vision of tires falling off of cars at over 170 MPH. You would think they would have something in place for it, with how they've been so focused on saftey recently.

If the race is "chalk" (and the 2nd race) he's okay. But that's the only way.

You know what, there should be a drinking game for the Narwhal sightings.

Dear Commentators,
Jeff Gordon is on pole, I doubt he cares where he finishes.

If he wrecks though, isn't he going to have to start in the back and thus rendering his pole useless?

What will make 2015's 500 unique? Last Year there was a tornado. 2013, Gen 6. 2012... Well... 2012.

2015 will have a snow delay

Starts in the back, but he is guaranteed to make the race. Hence he is better off just falling to the back or staying in first.

I can't help but laugh at the guys in the booth saying: "It's horribly cold here at 42 degrees in Daytona."

Meanwhile in PA, I have 2 days off of school since the temperature is only one degree shy of being in the negatives.

Pretty much my exact thoughts.

Dale Jr's power move was pretty funny to watch... "Wanna go up guys? Lets go! Nahh I am kiddin'"
