One would think Hornish would be doing a lot better this season, with the cars being very close to the Xfinity cars this year. I'll give him two full years in Cup, and if he hasn't improved until then, he'd most likely head back to Xfinity and run for that championship similar to Sadler.

As for MWR, if Furniture Row moves to Toyota, I could see a merge happening between them and MWR. My guess is that the #55 team will shut down at the end of this year, if Ragan leaves.

So here's how I see it: Honish goes to Xfinity full time with unknown team. David Ragan leaves MWR to drive the #9 for RPM, while the sole MWR #15 team merges with the #78 team of FRR, both running as Toyotas. Tada! Yay speculation!
 
I don't even think Vickers should be racing at all considering his high risk of blood clots.

I'm also taking all of this with skepticism... since unfounded rumors...
 
That's fine. There's a chance Hornish may stay due to contracts and not being able to find anybody they want for the ride (There is talk of Dakoda Armstrong, believe it or not), but I've heard from three different sources now Petty is done with Hornish

That would've worked...except the team is now wholly part of Ganassi. But since all of Ganassi's old numbers got swallowed up by the Circle-hillman conglomerate, and SHR, it makes remote sense.

Vickers' career already has an expiration date. Whether its this year or next is the question. I firmly expect Ragan to keep the seat unless the team collapses all around him like a house of cards.

no way Dakoda Armstrong is going anywhere upward. In fact, I'm sure he will probably be shown the door if/when RPM get serious as he is not and likely never will be cup material.

Also, anyone else here think Landon Cassill should be a contender to level up? Given how this could be his one big shot, I'd hope he can get a decent ride and potentially end up in a top tier team when rides open up there.

A Petty doesn't think Hornish is incredible.

Cassill wants to build the Hillman team up into contenders. Anything past a phone call from Mr. Hendrick wouldn't change that.

Both those choices seem really bad for him. Sticking with a bottom-tier team just because you want to turn into contenders is bound to fail, and suddenly jumping into a Hendrick car would almost certainly mean underperforming...
 
As much as I don't want to say it, I fear that there might be an accident involving a driver hitting a wall due to passing out this week.

Don't see that happening anytime soon. Also, maybe a call from Tony Stewart would fix that. I think he would be a great replacement for Danica Patrick or even Stewart himself if/when Tony decides to hang up his helmet

When he joined Hillman, they were an unsponsored one car team that was missing races with Stephen Leicht. 2 and a half years later, they are a two car, mostly sponsored team that is challenging for top 20s every week now. They also contend for victories at the plate tracks. It's definitely working so far.

But, have they not hit their ceiling at that top 20-25 level? Without an alliance of some sort with Gibbs/Hendrick/Penske, cracking the top 16 is going to be basically impossible.
