Teams of 2 cars can be formed running the same colours.
Drivers must request formation of the team from the stewards on the forum.
Ideally the teams should be formed from a known "fast" and "slower driver"
This would be ideal to to share car setups and would assist race craft.
The stewards would always try to be fair in allowing team formation.
The final points standing of both drivers would be the teams final points.

Are there prize money from PSN, right? My currency is on Euros. :/

At what time is that championship? I'm interested

Hasrk. How about instead of signing up for 1000x series when you still don't have a PS3, you do things properly?
So sorry, my head is still confused... I'm trying to choose 2/3 series to join and I haven't decided yet.

By the way, my PS3 is still being fixed.........

How does the weight get decided for race 1, is everyone starting at the base weight?

And how are you deciding the 16 to race in the first main race of the season?

We have not fully decided that yet, however we will have some system where that is decided fairly.

In the first race and the test races each driver will start with the car at base weigt of 1230 kg

All those that are not locked in pre Q. We have 12 locked in right? The other 14 will pre-Q. How does this sound?

Else we can use pre-season races to create a preeliminary classification

The first race of the season nobody will be locked in i meant. So how do we decide the 16 to race?

I feel we are trying to take to many people in if we are only running 1 lobby. Should stop at 16 confirmed drivers.

Suggestion for the signups post; how about adding GTP user links? It's as simple as typing an @ symbol and following the autocomplete:

Sample:

  1. Karsten | PSN: karsten_beoulve | GTP: @azidahaka | STEWARD
  2. Sken | PSN: skengdigi | GTP: @SkengD | STEWARD
  3. Logic | PGN: Logicline | GTP: @Stephen Vann | STEWARD

A little easier to read too and when you do role calls for races drivers will get a forum notification.

Dave this may sound silly, i dont know how that all works.
at some point i may have to get a clear understanding of this forum mechanics, i will have to stick to what i know for now.
I do appreciate you pointing things out, but i am not always able to see it all as clearly as i see my way.
If you know what i mean.

Dave? :P

Okay, to put it simply:

Type the @ symbol and then follow it up with the start of a username. For me it'd be @PJT, and then my name appears on a dropdown list. Click that and it does the rest: @PJTierney

When you make a post with an @name in it, that user gets an alert (similar to how somebody quotes you in a post). That shows up in their inbox and sends them a link to the post.

It's a simple way to get people's attention, which comes in handy for online racing :)

Ok i get it , i will give this a go next time PJ,

Can't tell you how pumped I am to be signing up to this series full time next year! It's going to be a lot of fun racing with all you guys from Round 1.

If we are including colours and numbers with our sign ups here's my update;
Colour: Teal
Preferred Number: #16

We are in process of a ruleset change for the sake of giving better chances to all drivers and avoiding a once NON-Qualifiers to have his championship run ruined. Thise means points will be changed.

On the same side we'll provide entertainment and racing for non Qualifiers too; This way those that trained but didn't made the cut will be able to run in a side event. :) I'm always sad to have to turn away some drivers because there's not enough spots...

There's no reason for those that didn't made it to just shut down the console or leave for Aspec or seasonals when they can fight for the side championship with a 13 drivers room right? ;)

Soon all will be fixed up and Official Topic will be opened! Sorry for the inconvenience, but soon all the detail will be nailed and in place.

Maybe it can't be seen much, but we are working hard to create something that will provide entertainment and good close racing for as much gtp users as possible!

karsten, @SkengD , @Stephen Vann

PS: There might be some position that we would like to filled if possible, like for example photographer, Serie Journalist and such... All feel free to introduce yourself and offer your help in case! :)

I'd like to sign up if possible.

PSN: Craighypheno
Team: Whichever team PJ is in
Colour: Whichever colour PJ is running
Number preference: 86
Craig, i have put you in the signups on PJ approval.
Car colours are no problems, however i am trying to work it so we have teams made from a faster
driver with a slower driver if can work it, as this would make all teams competitive and also would help
some of the slower newer drivers to get better setups if they are teamed with top drivers.

I dont know if we can sort this out but ideally once we sort teams out we can then allocate car numbers.
Example, a team that had the top driver would have him as 1 and his teamate 21, 2 and 22 , 3 and 23 etc up
to 16 and 36.
Thats was my thinking anyway, as the whole idea here is to make it as competitive as possible for everyone.

This is my plan, and until the current series series is complete, i will put a hold on teams and numbers if thats ok.

That's fair enough for most people, but I'd like to team up with the guy I've raced with for the past year :)

As for numbers, I don't know about some of you guys, but for me I feel a certain attachemnt to the number I use. I've used #45 in close to 300 organised online races and using something else just wouldn't feel right to me.

PJ you are very particular, i can see that.
I certainly dont want to upset anyone here, but i only suggest these things as, i being the sponsor i want to make it as fair for every driver as possible, and pairing faster and slower together would help i am sure improve their driving and setup skills if they had assistance, and re the numbers, it would also avoid any squabbles over them.
Nothing is set in stone as yet, but thats the way i would like it if possible and we could get agreement form all.

Well in terms of race results it is 13-7 to PJ, so strictly speaking he is the quicker driver ;)
Yes Craig,
that may well be the case, but you know what i am trying to do.
There may be many drivers slower than you.

I am trying to get my organising team to agree to switch race 1 into an official test.
We would know the track weeks in advance, so plenty of training could be done.

With 2 rooms and 13 cars in each room.
Both rooms set exactly the same.
Then both rooms would have a 90 minutes qualifying session only.

We would then have a list of drivers speeds from fastest 1 to slowest 26.
We could also then say that 2 drivers combined numbers could not be less than 20 to from teams.
or something like that.

These we would then be what we use for / test race 2 / that would become test race 1
using these times to have top 12 lockin and prequalifying for the rest.

Just the best idea i can come up with at present.

If i left it as a free for all, i dont think things may work out for many teams,
Also of course as i mentioned it would be in the interest of the faster guys to help the slower guys.
