Some more games to come this week.

Monday
Everton v Southampton
Man City v Burnley
Middlesbrough v Leicester (1.30 Sky)
Sunderland v Liverpool
West Brom v Hull
West Ham v Man United (5.15 Sky)

Tuesday
Bournemouth v Arsenal (7.45 Sky)
Crystal Palace v Swansea
Stoke v Watford

Wednesday
Tottenham v Chelsea (8pm Sky)

Reason there are more league games this week is because its the FA Cup third round this weekend, the non-TV games tomorrow are 3pm KO's and the non-TV games on Tuesday are 8pm KO's.

Todays games, Spurs hammered a really poor Watford 1-4 with Kane and Alli getting a brace each, Arsenal currently 1-0 v Palace through an amazing goal from Giroud.

Ridiculous fixture congestion though. We played on Thursday then Saturday then Monday. 3 games in 5 days. Absolutely ridiculous.

Completely agree, i think Southampton have got the worst of it...

Watching Middlesbrough v Leicester and its the worst game i have seen so far this season by far, 0-0 with about five minutes to go, nothing of note has happened, terrible....

If you see some Southampton fans, you'd think the next 19 worst games are all Southampton games.

This one was pretty awful though.:p

Just annoyed that Ramirez missed a guilt edged chance, have him on my fantasy team.

Big shock in the PL 3pm games is Liverpool only getting a point from Sunderland, finished 2-2, City beat Burnley 2-1 despite having Fernandinho sent off, West Brom 3-1 Hull and Everton 3-0 Southampton, In the Championship Newcastle lost 1-0 away to strugglers Blackburn.

United v West Ham then, we won but i was actually quite embarrassed by it as we were pretty much gifted the win by some shambolic refereeing, Dean sent off Feghouli for a challenge on Jones that i don't think was even a yellow, Zlatan was then offside for the winner though that was a close call, we didn't play that well either and needed subs to make the difference in the second half, still now 6 league wins in a row and now a point off fourth, feeling more happy and positive about the team all the time. 👍

Pep gave a miserable psot match interview after City's game v Burnley earlier, seemed really abrupt and a bit pissed off even though they actually won 2-1 but i bet all the players and staff at all the clubs might be miffed at the schedule right now, so i think they can be forgiven for being in a bad mood.

After getting League One manager of the month in November, Gillingham have fired Justin Edinburgh.

Swansea appoint Paul Clement has head coach on a two-year deal, OK then.....

And Hull get rid of Mike Phelan.

Arsenal, Arsenal their way to a 3-3 comeback to claim a pretty useless point.

Swansea got a great 2-1 away win at Palace, Jesus we needed that!, Clement was in the stands for most of the match but was in the dugout for the last 10 minutes.

Saw the Bournemouth game, was great to watch!

I'm back from the land of no computers and what a merry Christmas and happy new year it has been for these lucky chaps!

The Justin Edinburgh one in particular shows how fickle football can be; manager of the month one month, sacked the next.

Mike Phelan is twofold for football cliches; an assistant manager who can't do it as a #1 & a caretaker manager who is installed permanently then sacked shortly thereafter.

22nd December - Alan Pardew (Crystal Palace, sacked) Premier League
26th December - Bruno Ribiero (Port Vale, resigned) League One
27th December - Bob Bradley (Swansea City, sacked) Premier League

2nd January - John Sheridan (Notts County, sacked) League Two
3rd January - Justin Edinburgh (Gillingham, sacked) League One
3rd January - Mike Phelan (Hull City, sacked) Premier League

Sackings: 17
Resignations: 6

Total: 23

Shanghai SIPG has offered 150 million euro for Aubameyang...
Witsel is on his way to China, Sneijder reportedly has 2 offers too.

Edit

QPR's Tjaronn Chery seems to be going east as well.

With Wrexham having a horrendous season (we'll be lucky to avoid relegation to the freaking regionals) I'd like to have a moment of happiness by saying that 25 years ago today one of the best cup giantkillings took place:

Tottenham v Chelsea tonight before the league action takes a break for a bit for the FA Cup.

€150m for one player, on top of another c.€70m for Oscar...wow, there must be some serious dough involved in managing Shanghai's ports if SIPG can spare that much for their team.

Tottenham have just stopped Chelsea's winning streak with a 2-0 win. Maybe the title race might become interesting again.

Seems like teams go on a winning steak, hit a loss to a close rival and then have a wobbly for a few weeks. Could see Chelsea either bounce back well and prove they're worthy of the title or do as everyone else has and lose a few in a row and drop a handful of points.

The two goals were pretty identical, both crosses from Erikson to Dele Alli's head, really close game, shakes things up at the top.

He rejected the likes of Liverpool to go to Zenit and now he has turned away from Juve to go to China. Wit$el.

You would do exactly the same when offered a 7 figure annual salary. Financial independence and after a couple of games in Beijing, lung cancer.

Hahaha Chelsea can go and do one.

I'd bet my left bollock that this funding is somehow tied back to the Chinese government. Either "directly" underwriting the clubs in the background or the financiers themselves having made their finances through economic monopolies and government shenanigans, and using those riches to fund these ambitious sports manouvers.

This inexplicable surge in Chinese transfer funds has not come attached to a Premiership level TV deal his it? I'm happy to be corrected on that.

Well the Shanghai government owns a majority stake in SIPG, I share your suspicions that there's state funding involved.

Jose Fonte hands in transfer request at Southampton, Liverpool and Man United interested...

Paul Clement's unveiling at Swansea earlier, said Alan Curtis won't be part of his backroom team, hope they have a job for him, club legend who should be there till he retires.

It could turn into another Anji Makhachkala.

Remember them? They signed Roberto Carlos and were going to dominate Russian football?

At least the Chinese clubs are signing good players who are also still relatively young. I still think it won't turn China into a dominant force; they'll make mugs of the Chinese keepers and any Chinese reserve won't stand a chance if you can sign a more talented foreigner, even on an inflated salary.
