Wehrlein was saying if Haryanto was still in the car, both Manors could have made it into Q2 for the first time... interesting to see how things go between Ocon and Wehrlein and if Ocon can perform to the same level after a few races.

Brundle and Croft were saying something during qualifying about how they're not friends. That's not to say that they're enemies, but apparently they have a history together.

Sad considering now I want to see if Haryanto could have done it...

Also two star development drivers from Mercedes clearly fighting for positions at teams further up the pecking order.
 
Hamilton to start from pit lane after Mercedes had to break the seal on his gearbox.

Update: the stewards have revised their decision, and Hamilton will now start from twenty-second; it seems that they issued the penalty incorrectly.

NBCSN bringing in Varsha to fill in for Diffey. Diffey is an amazing commentator, but its good to have Varsha back. Major flashbacks right now lol.
 
It really is darn hot, and so bloody humid. I was hoping for rain yesterday evening, but nothing. It currently is clouding over rather quickly, but it doesn't really look like there's rain in the air.
