A good forum lives and dies by its threads, and we're looking for the discussion that's had you most enthralled this year (thread must have been started after 31/12/2015).

Please vote above for which you think should be the GTPlanet Award winner for Thread of the Year 2016. Nominees are:

F1 Picture Caption Thread (2016): https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/f1-caption-game-2016-rd-20-brazil-result.344740/

Is a Hot Dog a Sandwich?: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/is-a-hot-dog-a-sandwich.347975/

The Forgotten Cars Thread: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/the-forgotten-cars-thread.342871/

The Time Has Come. New Heart or Bust: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/the-time-has-come-new-heart-or-bust.349523/

When I saw "The Forgotten Cars Thread", I thought it was referring to the Forgotten Cars Thread I had for GT6 last year .

Good luck to all the nominations though

My vote goes for the forgotten cars thread. Makes an interesting read on some cars you never knew, or just can't remember

TB
The fact that it's doing as well in the poll as it is is a testament to just how good the thread is.
True, but half of the people don't even know how good it is.

It can't be unanimous. Goodnessity is distributed along a bell curve. That thread's a bell end for sure.

Now I'm going to not study for my final exam trying to figure out if a hotdog really is a sandwich.

First line on Wiki for "hotdog"

A hot dog (also spelled hotdog) is a cooked sausage, traditionally grilled or steamed and served in a sliced bun as a sandwich.

My twitter poll (with a pretty big sample size of 11 people) came out with 82% saying no, so I think it's settled now.

Nothing for the GTP Cool Wall: Dodge Aries?

For better or worse, it probably got the most discussion from a single, new thread this year outside the GT section.

Nope. No nominations at all.

Surprisingly it didn't do enough to warrant the creation of a 'Most Welcome Padlock of the Year' award. :boggled:

It's too late now but I wish I'd nominated the Free Trade thread.
I just forgot.
@Danoff's posts in there have really got me thinking.

What's the New Heart Or Bust thread about? The supplied link results in an error on my PC.

It's in the Premium forum and documents the journey of one of our members who has reached the end of the road for his congenital heart condition and entered hospital for some extreme and borderline end-of-life care while he waits for a donor heart to become available.

You'll be pleased to know that he did in fact have a heart transplant just a few days ago.

I'm very glad to hear that, having been under the knife for heart surgery myself last year.

Unfortunately though this means I can't vote for it and am stuck with that ridiculous hot dog sandwich thread.
