#63 Corvette Spun, Timo Bernhard, got held up from it.
 
I'm very impressed by the pace of the Ford GT and the Toyota! So far it has been quite an interesting race, but that is to be expected from the WEC.

I'm not sure, it might've been right between the qualifying sessions (the late one was starting at 22:00CET, about half an hour later than those incidents). If they have done any running it was probably under cloud cover or rain.

Although there's most of the race still to happen (and with that, very possibly mechanical failures), this is all setting up to be extremely close and tense.
 
#67 Ford GT into the wall
 
Dammit, the #67 car had enough problems, it really didn't need this.
 
#67 in the barrier. Why couldn't that have been the other three cars. :banghead:
 
Out of all the Ford's having luck, the #67 has had the WORST in this race
 
Seems like Marino Franchitti wasn't hable to break properly for Mulsanne corner and went straight into the gravel.

PS: Silverstone was my first thought as well but I couldn't fathom if it was a lake or a kart track or something, VERY fun fact! Whoever did that is a genius.
 
Ugh. I absolutely hate the "24h minutes" programm from Eurosport. The race is going on, who the hell cares about the damn safety car or an onboard lap with it around the track recorded between practice sessions?! Just get back to the race :mad:

It would have hit harder. Gravel slows you down. Tarmac doesn't.
 
But on tarmac he may have had a chance for the tires to bite and the turn or at least spin to avoid the barrier

Absolutely. I'd rather see the action on track than those boring interviews, especially now with this beautiful sunset.

I have changed to Eurosport 2.
I am missing onboard footage of the Toyota's though, the new V6 sounds so good.

Did you miss the bit where he no longer had brakes? If he could have stopped he would have taken the apex.

Saw that, very fun. I still don't get why he did though, he flipped the bird to a Toyota aparently because of the Toyota braked hard in front of him but I didn't see the complete replay. Still, you're an LMP2, just get out of the way! :lol:
