About time for my first stint with my pillow, I need to get in a couple of hours before the day/night transition then I'll be up through the night/day transition.

He isn't which, I agree, is definitely a safety risk for him. But then again, why wouldn't they cut the guy some slack?

I just had an awful thought... This could be the first time that Audi has lost Le Mans twice in a row since the dawn of the century... They've only lost Le Mans 3 times and they were all isolated from each other. This could be the beginning of the end :(

In the event of an emergency there's some sort of air-pocket underneath the seat that acts as a kind of ejector seat. Means he can roll himself out the car.

By law, videos about disabled people shouldn't have mellow acoustic guitar intros. Other than that it's an AMAZING video, aparently they kinda lock his stubs (is that the right word?) to a sort of steering wheel he drives with his longer right uper stub.

But don't you have to be able to get out of the car in a certain time to be allowed to compete? I'm quite suprised that the FIA allowed this, especially when you think about how long the safety car was out due to the wet track before the race went green in the name of safety.
Will he compete the whole race or just for one stint?

He's on his second stint.

I'll be a bit blunt at the expense of perhaps being disrespectful, but what's the worst that could happen if he crashes and can't get out of the car by himself? If I were in his shoes I wouldn't care about the risk, shut up and let me drive! It's not like I got a lot to lose...

I seem to be the only one who likes it. It's using some F1 philosophy and they're really thinking to get more speed. I still think Audi has the strongest chassis, though it would have been nice to see last years car in action as I agree it doesn't look as good as the 2015 or 2014 cars

That was my immediate first thought when I first saw it on the track this morning.
 
Those blunt front fenders make the Audi's look really noseheavy. The Porsches look somewhat heavy and the Toyotas mask it the the best with the black outline for the headlights and white paint down the sides.

I definitely think Toyota is the sexiest looking LMP1. (And also the fastest, lol) Especially the Audi looks like like it has two Beluga whale heads as fenders.
 
I'm down the pub at the moment. If a Toyota crashes, tell me about it so I can cry.
 
Hmm, the 3 of the Ford GTs are in the 2nd to 4th positions.
 
Toyota's advantage just stretched over a minute ahead of #1 Porsche. Absolutely stunning pace!
